I'm a huge fan of cozies but I love just about any genre of mystery. My favorites are Agatha Christie, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Elizabeth Peters and Dick Francis.

Don't forget Wilkie Collins (The Woman in White is really great, also The Moonstone), Fergus Hume, Emile Gaboriau, Anna Katherine Green and all those others that are available for free from Gutenberg.org! Take a look at my shelf to find more titles and authors. I prefer those old books, in which a footprint is about the most advanced means of detection!
I just discovered Anna Katherine Green when I received my Kindle because her books were available for free. I'm really enjoying her work! The Moonstone is also a favorite.
I stick with the cozy mysteries. I like Sue Grafton.
I'm a big fan of Sue Grafton. I've read them all except W. I need to check the library and see if the waiting list has gotten any shorter on it yet.
Hi all,

I love mysteries as well. Sue Grafton is one of my fav authors I just don't know what she's going to do when the alphabet is finished. Love cozies as well.
I love mysteries of all stripes but usually have a cozy going.

I like Julie Smith, Tony Hillerman, Elizabeth Peters, Wilkie Collins, etc., etc., etc.
I have an addiction to mysteries (my parents started me off with Sherlock Holmes at age 10). I particularly like historical mysteries, but also read cosies, Robert B. Parker, the classics (Christie, Nero Wolfe, etc.), etc. etc.
Hello! I mostly read cozy mysteries and a handful of historical mysteries. I have too many favorites to name, but I believe Sherlock Holmes to be in a class by himself. :) I just picked up "Whose Body?" last night for a re-read in between the newer cozies I have stacked in my TBR.
I love Dorothy Sayers.
Yes, I consider Dorothy Sayers to be one of the Masters and I learn a lot in her books also.
I love all mysteries starting with Wilkie Collins to today's cozies. I just finished reading The Moonstone. I love to read Agatha Christie, Elizabeth Peters and Rex Stout. (I am in love with Archie.) I haven't read any Dorothy Sayers recently, but enjoyed Lord Peter Wimsey.
I liked Harlan Coben but got bored a little bit witch his plot schema. Recently I've discovered two Swedish writers : Anders De La Motte (Geim, Buzz, Bubble Trilogy - page turners) and HÃ¥kan Nesser.

The latter has two great series: one with Van Veeteren Inspector (first book in the series: "The Mind's Eye"; and the second series with Inspector Barbarotti (not sure if it's been translated in English). Highly recommended :)

I also enjoyed a lot "A Pinch of Snuff" by Reginald Hill.
One of the best things in a group like this is discovering all the new authors that I've never read. I see several mentioned here that I want to put on my list of new authors to check out.
I like the classics Sherlock H., Pater Brown and of course the stories of Agatha Christie. A couple of years ago I discovered Gladys Mitchell and have been a fan since - even though her stories are a bit more sinister than Agatha's.
