Sweet! Now, will I read Gone with the Wind anyway? lol

Don't know of MR responded, but yeah. If you're not feeling well, you're not feeling well. I think most people have rolled when they finished the book and sometimes before they posted a review. I personally wait til the review is posted. Hope you feel better.
Are reviews required for a book to count?

Yup.

Oops ... I'm out. I missed rule that at start of game.

That's too bad.

I missed that rule too. Oops. I think I'm behind by 4 reviews.

I've just been in a reading mood but not so much a reviewing one. It's still great to see all the hard work y'all have put into the game and all the furor of activity on booklikes it's generated.

But, I'm not currently moved to write a lot of reviews (and currently for me the "reward" of another dice roll has sometimes either interfered with a book I really wanted to read because of the way my public lbrary waitlist has suddenly decided to be very generous or somehow my luck repeatedly lands me on #13 American Lawyer which for some reason gives me trouble.). No issues with the game or the gameplay (except for it's making me use goodreads again and audiobook listeners seemed to have an advantage) but I'm kinda dreading months of American Lawyer books.

I got to go around the board so I think I'll just consider that achieved. I'll delete my bank post because I did not review all the books I thought I got booklikes-opoly money for finishing.
I'm going to weigh in here - I've not been universally posting full-blown, individual reviews, either, because I'm not so much in a reviewing mood, and I didn't specifically include the requirement of a review in the rules. If you want to post that kind of a review, feel free, if you only want to post a few sentences about your enjoyment of the book in your update post or elsewhere, that's fine, too. Just let us know:

1. That you finished the book.
2. How it fit with the category.
3. One or two sentences on whether or not you liked the book & why/why not.
4. How many pages/points it's worth.

It doesn't need to be long and involved, and you can do them in bulk! And we can call it good! :)

Thanks, Moonlight! I'm more comfortable commenting on other people's reviews and really sweat writing them myself, so loosening up the review requirement will make joining in the game a lot more fun for me. I'm lagging way behind everyone else anyway, but I still get a rush from matching up one of my TBRs with the space/category I land on. :)

I'm having fun reading everyone's reviews but I'm weird that way lol. If you can't win there's no pressure.
I am behind is reviews but I will write them soon. I have books that are due for me to write and some I will get too. If this pulls me out of the game.. so be it. I will keep track of my money and my rolls and history. IF you are okay with me just writing them soon I will be okay. I am only like two books or three that need to be written. I think. I am only on Roll 6.

I'm behind by 2 reviews, as I didn't realize a review was required. I DO write reviews, but sometimes it takes me up to three or four days to finalize and post to my satisfaction, as I'm super anal about rereading and editing, etc... before I publish my posts.

So... does this mean we DON'T cash in until a review is posted? But we can still move on and roll again even before posting a review, right? That's what I've been doing.
It's fine to save them up and "review" in bulk. No need to wait to cash in - I'd get confused that way, personally!

That's kind of what I'm doing as well. Aside from writing a more fleshed out review, I've been mentioning in all of my "next roll" posts what I read for which square, and how much it was worth/how many pages. I'll start including the rest of the info (how the book fits the square, a little of how I liked/disliked said book) Moonlight mentioned in a couple extra sentences to cover my bases so I can focus on writing my reviews at my own pace.
