Pictures!

Gretchen got me an amazing set of books, including a beautiful vintage copy of Emily Dickinson poems which I'm pretty much obsessed with. I LOVE old books, so freaking much. I also got two wonderful scents of lotion, some strawberry kiwi water drops (which are so going to work with me), some vanilla black tea (YUM! Also going to work with me.), and a mug which I am so enamored with. It's the perfect size for that morning cup of pick me up coffee. Better still, Gretchen's kiddos drew me some photos, which I totally giggled in delight at, and I got a card that is so heartfelt that I got all teary eyed. Seriously amazing package. It made my day infinitely better!

I'm so glad you like it. I have to confess that I didn't look at any of your bookshelves. I just started picking books when I was at Goodwill one day. I debated the Dickinson but there was just something about the vintage quality of it that kept me coming back.

I love that my twins are in this stage of drawing where they pretty much only get basic shapes. It makes everything appear slightly phallic. Even more, I love the fact that I'm not so grown up that it makes me giggle every time I see them draw something.

I laughed so hard when I read that part of your note. Then I laughed even harder when I looked at the pictures again. It was fabulous.

They have been drawing like crazy. The last few tree pictures they drew, they gave to the other adult to hang in his office.
" I can't hang these in my office."
" Why not? They are drawings by five year olds."
" I work in a high school with high school aged students. I can't put penis shaped trees on my walls."
