Than my hubby is the 3rd hahaha he read half the 1st book and was out. He maintains it would be a much better story if anyone else was the main character.

See, some people don't like HP. We just aren't as vocal and there's no 'hate HP groups' like there are for the HP lovers!
Official notice: just sent out Swap Box partners.

I double and triple checked, and I'm sure it's all good, but, yeah. I stressed out over everything.

Boxes should be sent out by the 15th, with tracking of some sort. I'll take them in a DM, but honestly that's the part I'm least worried about: everyone's gotten their boxes without a hitch so far.

I am going to note: I knew Mallory would be going into surgery, so I gave her my fandom information early so she could shop early with an unlimited extension given that it was surgery. She really wanted to take part, so I gave her 'me' as a swap partner because I could give her information early and just extend things like the due date for the box and not have to worry about it. That being said, I just read her latest update, and at this point expect my box will be late because, y'know, surgery. I've told her I'll be angrier if she hurts herself trying to get it out than if it's late, so I hope she listens to me. I didn't want to make a big deal out of it early on, because I knew Mallory was stressed out about it all. I know things went well for the most part, but just in case, she gets as much of an extension as she needs, and I've told her this. (So, yeah, my pictures might pop up late, but far better than post-surgery stress or harm. No hurting yourself, Mallory! I'll have none of it!)

If you need an extension because of life, let me know, and I'll send a DM/e-mail to your swap partner.
I read most of the first HP book and it just bored me to tears. The movies are the same. I understand the fandom, it's just not my thing. Lol

And I got my email. :) I actually should have the box out soon. I'm just waiting on one thing to arrive in the mail. I've had just about all the stuff sitting here for 2 weeks. It's been so hard not to mail it. :)

One of the reasons I didn't give you my e-mail first.

Whenever you feel better. Relax until that fever goes down, at least!
Hahaha. You take better care of me than my momma. :) :hugs:

Sometimes it's easier bossing someone around online when they're sick :P
Is it okay to send boxes out before the 15th or is that date just meant as the deadline? And also, are (good condition) used books okay, or is new the preferred? This is my first time participating and I am super excited about putting together a box for my swap partner!

I think gently used books are great!

I'm glad you're excited and we have a newcomer.

I also don't mind, and in fact love used books. The general consensus has been: would you mind getting it as a gift? I've sent boxes with near ten books, all used from my collection, and in that case, I may or may not include one I think they'll love, but that has a little ding: a mark or a bend. (And let them know that I just couldn't resist.)

I also have personalized notes: this is why I think you'd love it. You don't have to do it, much less for every book, but I've had fun doing that. If time allows this time around, I'll do it again. (And I send out little art cards that I have a stockpile of since I made so damn many when I had studio time. I use them as bookmarks, suggest it, and people tend to love 'em so I hope to work my way through some more of my little obsessive habit here.)

September 15th is the cutoff date: box(es) sent or an explanation of why they'll be late are expected by then. You can send them out as early as you'd like, however. I usually end up getting super excited and having the time to send early, but I suspect I won't send out until Friday this time around. I have a pretty full week getting ready, and then starting, graduate school so I suspect Friday will be the earliest as far as me having the opportunity to go shopping and ship.

Thanks for the info! I've been out and about today so I was thinking about what to put in my box all day! I have so many ideas. I think, for me, this is going to be better than any subscription box I could order!

I've done a couple subscription boxes, and bar the Arcee sleeping shorts - so comfortable, so pretty - I think I enjoy these the most. (And just to be clear: the shorts were equally as exciting, but not more exciting. Just the one exception.)

It's a box curated just for you, and that's a beautiful thing. I hope you enjoy your box when you get it as much as I have, and everyone else seems to have enjoyed theirs.
My box was picked up today! I love click-n-ship and scheduled pickups. Of course you can send boxes before the 15th, I mean, I would think. I send mine early every time. I'm the kind of person that can hardly wait for people to open their gifts, so I am quick to stick the boxes in the mail.

And as long as the book is legible I'm always fine with it. If it's an old OLD book with wrinkled edges and battered covers sometimes those are the best. Not everyone is me, tho. But used books are totally fine. We aren't wealthy folks here. Hell, I'm a stay-at-home mom that thrives on Half Price Books. It's the thought and effort. We are all book lovers here.

Oh, and welcome to the swap group!

Sweet. Thanks, Mallory. I usually like getting them out early, I just have a packed week this week. I'm hoping to get it out Friday, but I'm not 100% sure. It depends, I think, on if I can shop early around homework.
