"Inclusive" is the whole point! :)

I'm sure we'll be seeing plenty of groups for specific historic periods or aspects of literature (and I'm probably going to end up joining every single one. ;) ) But I figured we could use a place for cross-referencing genres and periods as well!

Oh boy, I just noticed my typo above. I guess there's no way to edit posts here. :-) I think this group will be interesting since many of us are drawn to many periods and genres.

I am excited about the group feature - as it was my favorite feature in goodreads and the one I was saddest to let go of. I am optimistic that the group features will continue to improve. I'm still trying so hard to personalize/customize my blog/profile, but even with all the fantastic tutorials, I am having such a hard time :-(

@T-A, LOL, I'm not going to point out the typo if nobody noticed. It's rather humiliating to write like an idiot in a group full of constant readers. I'm never careful enough. I'm also looking forward to the groups becoming more fluid with more features. I would never survive here without a friendly community and it's rather fun to be making some new friends after having hung out with the same crowd on Goodreads for years. *waving to C Bashara above me!* Hello my friend!

Yes, I feel like that, too -- about this community, as well as the features currently available to us!

And incidentally, I was ready to go hiding in a deep, dark hole when I discovered that I'd managed to include a typo even in my "official" blog post about this group! Mighty embarrassing, and of course I only saw it after several others had very nicely already reblogged the darned thing. So there. :)

Haha! I know I reblogged your post and I didn't notice either so we're even. I'll be jumping for joy when they implement the ability to edit comments, posts etc..... Gah, I never realized how careless I was until the ability to fix things was taken away!!!!

I edited mine... (T-A noticed it, not me, but I was glad to edit.)

There may be a period of history I'm not interested in, but if so, I haven't encountered it yet.
