That's my choice. BookLikes doesn't seem to care.

BookLikes might want to pay a little bit more attention. This kind of shit can get them into big time trouble.

Rekha Shukla Delhi Call Girl

The Delhi call girl are the paragon of beauties. The independent escorts are highly skilled in seduction and creative lovemaking.

Geez.

Hey Booklikes ... anybody there?!
I don't see Booklikes being a hotbed of John's. What's up with this?
http://kellyrelkins.booklikes.com/
http://joshuakeller.booklikes.com/ (has the gumption to name his spam page "my books blog")

... though at this point, the likes of these almost seem harmless compared to the other crap that's been showing up.

I block them as I come across them -- though I do a routine cull every couple of months as well.

... is the latest that showed up in my followers. "Make money from home" ... at this point, I suppose we can be glad if it's not another porn or prostitution page.
A few that just showed up in the list of blogs being (auto-)followed by BookLikes -- more indication (if it were needed) that there is zero admin overview at the moment:

http://jessehernan.booklikes.com/ (sex / penis "enhancement" drugs -- doubtful whether certified by any sort of medical oversight body)
http://wery1939.booklikes.com/ (ditto)

:: snort ::

They're all advertising the same two products -- seems like the vendor has sent a whole army BookLikes' way.
http://tadmertz06.booklikes.com/ (beauty products -- in Spanish)

You may want to check your followers lists for this one; he's obviously actively expanding on the BookLikes "auto-follow" thing. Looks like there's quite a bit of determination at work here.

I still hate that I have to follow these in order to block them. I know I can still unfollow them later but it's annoying partly because it makes them successful -- successful in that I do visit the blog and might see their advertisement.

Maybe someday booklikes would add a block option right on the blog or on the notification that someone followed you versus making us first follow someone.

It would be lovely if some time booklikes would either run a script or make a menu option so we could check for in our "followers" that would show profiles with only one blog post plus zero books shelved (or at least those that have been here a certain period of time with no activity beyond the one blog post and following people).

Maybe booklikes could also take a look at profiles that were frequently blocked if they have those statistics.

Both options might lead to cleaning up spammers.
