Mansfield Park

Somehow this is turning into The Year of Rereading Jane Austen ... (well, Austen and Austen-related things, actually).

I'm glad it's happening, though -- AND I'm glad I'm finally being made to post reviews as well.

Here's the one on Mansfield Park: Preview on BookLikes (first 1 1/2 paragraphs), and full text on my website.

Fanny Price isn't Austen's most widely-beloved heroine, but I happen to like her a lot ...

Oh, good! Fanny can use a few champions here and there ...

It Happened One Midnight by Julie Anne Long
I am finally getting around to posting some of these, but I decided to classify this one as family. It's like the sixth or seventh in a series featuring two families all getting their happily ever afters while hating each other. I feel like I remember this one actually focusing on how the hero feels his family thinks of him and all that. It was a good one, but I am really just waiting for Lyon and Olivia's story already...
