Post the book you read to fulfill this letter.

Here was have A Gentleman 'til Midnight by Alison DeLaine. Our heroine, a pirate-esque lady captain, has a plot moppet-esque daughter from her time in concubine-esque captivity. :D

This book got three stars from me and I am still forming an opinion on it. It was a fun romp seeing as the characters (especially the lady secondary characters) are so interesting! But the leads made some questionable decisions and sometimes were not too likable (but they were consistent). Urg. I gotta sort all this out for my review. But yeah, three stars.

Here is the BookLikes book page if you want more info. I thought it may be good to add it, just in case.

I like that you added the Booklikes' page for the book. I do like to check out books that people post for the challenge.

The mother and daughter are descendents of the Alice that Alice in Wonderland was modeled after. The story is about the daughter's efforts to help her mother, who is in a mental hospital.

The artist is Boris Vallejo.
He did a lot of scifi and fantasy covers.
Training Season by Leta Blake filled the bill for me on this one, 2 of the secondary characters are moms. One is the mom of one of the MC's and the other is the mom of the other MC's son and they're both awesome! So 2 awesome moms were in this book.

I love books that have awesome moms!
I read Bird Box for the letter 'M'. It's an apocalypse type story so not the kind of book I thought I'd pick for this letter.

Touched by an Alien
The Witch of Duva by Leigh Bardugo

Stella Gibbons: Cold Comfort Farm

Flora Poste's (the heroine's) aunt Ada Doom is the overbearing matriarch of the Starkadders, the relatives at whose farm in the sticks of Sussex Flora decides to spend some time after the death of her parents (and which stay comprises the essence of the book).
