I found this book funny in parts but also boring and the characters were noxious. The worst part though was the racism. Even allowing for the era, it was pretty bad and I could not stomach it enough to finish it.
Absolutely hilarious! I love the dry wit of Jerome's writing, even if some of his tangents went just a bit too far out. It's the perfect book for reading aloud, and I wish I'd known it while I was still living at home, so I could've gotten dad to read it to us on one of our vacations.
The anticipation was too high
Simply delightful. I started this as an audio book but finished by reading it...the humor is much more evident for me, when read.
