Berkeley is Bear Territory, and there is no better way to experience the UC Berkeley Football season than going to a game at the California Memorial Stadium. It's an historic stadium, with some seating that affords views of the San Francisco Bay or Strawberry Canyon, depending on where your seat is, but for the hardcore fans, these views don't matter - it's all about the game. The Cal Football team plays in the Pac-12 network. Now, what should you do if you don't have tickets to a game? There's a hill to the east of the stadium with free views of the game, locally known as Tightwad Hill or Charter Hill. There are plenty of opportunities around Berkeley for pre game and post game celebration, eats and drinks! There are a lot of Downtown Berkeley and Southside spots around town that show the games on large screens and have awesome food specials to boot.
