The NG/E challenge will always be my downfall, but might go up since i changed which Kindle they were going to.

I have way surpassed my Goodreads challenge of 150, i'm hoping to do 250 but seems that might be a stretch, we'll see, still have a few months left :D

HAVE YOU ACHIEVED ANY OF YOUR GOALS YET???

So who's participating in NaNoWriMo this year?

I know it's a bit early to ask around (I mean, it's not even October yet, but it's marching close enough for me to start putting on my thinking cap and deciding which manuscript I want to tackle).

I know for certain I'm participating, but I'm still trying to decide what I should do.  The next month is going to be me writing the outline for my NaNoWriMo project while putting the final touches on this WIP I've been working on for months. (It's been a trade off of deciding what to keep in, what to take out, and I've had the difficult task of realizing that I actually needed to take out characters I liked for the sake of the story, which is why you guys haven't seen me posting much around here. Hard sell, but I've had to do that in previous manuscripts I've written too.)

I'm going to stay intentionally mum on the WIP that's almost finished just to keep people in suspense, but I've mentioned it way back when on my New Year's goals post.  My hope is that by the time the end of October rolls around, I'll have one finished manuscript and another to start on.  Gah, fingers crossed.

In the meantime, when I finalize my choice for my NaNoWriMo pursuit, I'll keep all of you in the know.  But if you guys need a cheerleader, I'll have my pom-poms out for you.

Cheers,

Rose

Updating my end of year summaries and goals for 2015

Just a placeholder note on my blog that I'm going to be updating my 2014 end of year superlative lists here soon, as well as a few goals and challenge lists for 2015.  I'm hoping that 2015 is a productive year overall.

For those of you who are already there: Happy New Year.  I still have a couple more hours to go. =)

Reading Goals for 2015

I simply cannot comprehend that 2014 is ending. It has been a crazy year full of personal triumphs and challenges. Since the lovely Jessica asked me to join her in the wonderful world of book blogging in October, I have loved getting to know this community and slowly learning how it all works.

My goals for 2015 will be fairly simple, because that's how I like to start things. 2015 will be my first year I am setting reading goals at all which is kind of a big deal for me. I try not to get caught up in the whole "resolution" excitement because I know that change can happen anytime, intentionally or not.

So without further ado (I could go on for days) here are my 2015 Reading Goals:

1) Get organized and start tracking books with notes/lists.

2) Finish 120 books and keep track of them (see goal #1)

3) Don't over-schedule my weeks so I have time to read more fun books. I have a hard time saying no, but I hear that will get easier as time goes on.

4) Re-read Harry Potter series because it's awesome.

5) Expand my repertoire and try new genres. My book club is already helping me with this goal.

There it is. Feel free to send me some recommendations or pro tips on any of the above. Happy New Year by bookish friends!

2015 Goals

I talked about my Reading Goals for 2015 here!

But now it's time to talk more personal life goals for the year!

(in no order!)

1. Do 30mins of Spanish exercises 3 days a week :]

I took 3yrs of Spanish in high school, i graduated early so i couldn't do a 4th yr, i loved every minute of it and when i work in fast food, i spoke to the cooks in Spanish only! But now i work in a warehouse and only 1 person speaks Spanish. So since i'm not in school at the moment, but still wish to learn it, i plan to do 30mins of Duolingo lessons 3 days a week :]

2. Exercise 3 times a week :]

I'm not fat, i feel fat a lot of times, but honestly i'm better off than some, but i feel bad about myself a lot and whenever i work out, i just feel better. I usually fail this goal every year, but if i can just do it enough to form the habit of wanting to, i should be fine.

3. Do more actives with my son :]

During the first 2yrs of my son's life, i lived paycheck to paycheck, so we could go to the playground and that when i had extra gas in the car to use. But now i'm much better off, and i want to do more with him :]

4. Be more positive!

I've been struggling with depression for years. I have the hardest time seeing the positive side to things, it's ruined every relation/friendship i've ever had and i've gotten too alone to be okay with it anymore. So more positive thoughts!

5. Be more organized and less lazy :]

Let's be honest, i only vacuum once a month, and i leave clean clothes on my bed way toooooo long. I'm not crazy lazy, but i do let things go for a minute. I want to be more organized and keep up with things. A tidy home leads to a tidy mind :]

That's really all i got. I just want a better life, and it's not gonna fall into my lap and i've been in that mindset too long. So here's to a better year and a better me :]

Do you set goals for the coming year or resolutions?? Do you keep them??
