CROSSOVER (Thrilling Christian Fantasy Suspense (Chaser Chronicles #1)) - John C. Dalglish

Starts out with the PI and he's taped to his chair, big headache and something, a ghost shape is in front of him telling him he will have a choice to make.
He learns a few days later he can either follow Jesus or go after the runners and make them crossover. There are chasers and this ghost wants him to become one...
This book is out there as far as my beliefs but was a good read because the author describes things in such detail you feel as if you are there.
Loved all the action, adventure and investigating as we got to go visit in several places.
Received this book free on Amazon and this is my honest opinion.

Winds of Wyoming

Title:  Winds of Wyoming (Kate Neilson Series, Book 1)

Author:  Rebecca Carey Lyles

Pages:  416

Year:  2012

Publisher:  Stonehouse Ink

Some time has passed since I read this novel so before reading the sequel, Winds of Freedom, by the same author I curled up to read and refresh my memory of the tale.  The main female character is Kate Neilson who after losing both her parents and brother was shifted from foster home to foster home.  Though she was placed in homes she never felt like the people really cared, loved or wanted her to be around.  When the system failed to take care of her, Kate embarked on a road of self-destruction that finally led her to prison for five years where she earned a college degree.  Now, Kate is leaving Pittsburgh to live and work on a ranch for her required internship.  The ranch that hired her is called Whispering Pines, and it is here that Kate’s past would crash into her present possibly irrevocably negatively impacting her future.

Laura and her son Mike run Whispering Pines Ranch since the death of her husband the year before and her oldest son years ago.  Mike has his own past that hinders him in growing spiritually and allowing others to be friends.  Mike’s nemesis is a woman named Tara who refuses to live in reality, believing a life filled with lies that she created long ago in her high school years.  Her father has been hassling the Whispering Pines owners by attempting to bully them into selling their land.

Winds of Wyoming is the author’s first novel that is set in Wyoming among a few small towns.  I enjoyed getting lost in the tale of a young woman who dreamed of a brighter future, but lost in the darkness of her past.  Whispering Pines is the recipient of trouble and weird occurrences since it opened its door for the new summer season.  There is a person who has but one goal in mind and that is to make Kate belong to him alone and pay her back for what he views as wrongs done to him by Kate.  How the novel ends is really awesome and delightful, giving readers the sense of hope and redemption.  Readers will also understand the power of past mistakes no longer holds them when shared with those who love them and stand by them.  Grab a copy to give as a gift to the reader in your family or friendship circle!

My rating is 5+ stars.

A Carol for Kent (Christian Romantic Suspense) (Song of Suspense Series Book 3)
A Carol for Kent (Christian Romantic Suspense) (Song of Suspense Series Book 3) - Hallee Bridgeman Title: A Carol for Kent (Song of Suspense #3) Author: Hallee Bridgeman Story Length: 242 Year: 2014 Publisher: Olivia Kimbrell Press This third story in the Song of Suspense series follows Assistant Commonwealth Attorney Carol Mabry’s journey to love. She has been a single mom for over eight years. She arrived in Richmond all those years ago alone, pregnant and seeking help at the door of her boyfriend’s parent’s house. They told her he had no interest in her or their child. The parents have continued to give some support Carol financially and have a good relationship with their granddaughter. Carol thought she loved Bobby Kent, but when she learned he wanted nothing to do with her or their daughter, she began to hate him. As the years passed, she graduated law school and got a prestigious job. Now, she is working a case with what appears to be a serial killer, killing a woman every five days. At the start of the case, she also is face with Bobby Kent back in her life and telling her daughter who her father is. She is also trying to deal with the fact that Bobby’s parents lied to her for the last eight years. Can she focus on the case before any more women die? What is she going to do with Bobby back in her life? Can she forgive him? Bobby Kent, famous country singer, has ended his most recent tour and has the next several months off. He decides to go home to Richmond and see his parents. When he arrives unexpectedly, he sees what can only be his daughter for the first time and confronts his parents. He can’t believe they have lied to him all this time. He wants to be a part of his daughter’s life, but doesn’t want to disrupt Carol’s life either. What’s a famous singer to do? The more time he spends with Carol and Lisa, the more he wants to be a permanent part of both of their lives. Can he forgive his parents for what they did? One of my favorite parts of this story was the strong relationship with Christ both Carol and Bobby had. Even amidst an extremely painful betrayal, through God’s strength, forgiveness is extended. There were some great tension-filled moments as well as moments of tenderness and love. My only negative about the book is that it was too short! I didn’t want the story to be over so quickly! This is another great suspense-filled story by Hallee. There are also recipes and an excerpt from the first book in the series included as well as discussion questions about this third book in the series. My rating is 5 stars. She also hopes her high school love, Nick Williams, will be a part of this future. However, after high school graduation, Nick leaves immediately to join the military and leaves Aria and high school behind. Her life soon thereafter takes a completely new direction. Nick Williams can’t wait to graduate high school and leave home to escape a drunken abusive father. He is in love with Aria, but won’t ever tell her. She is too good for him. He joins the military. After a couple of years, he is injured on a mission. When the agent arrives to see what proof Aria has, things begin to happen and Aria’s life is threatened and the intense chase begins. Can this agent be trusted? Can he keep her safe? Will her heart, her very life ever know rest again? This story has got it all…a great romance, lots of heart-pounding action, suspense and thrills. I also appreciated all the information included after the story. The various recipes sound delicious, and the explanation of the military jargon and other terms was most helpful. Readers are given just a tantalizing tidbit from the next book in the series, A Carol for Kent. I just loved watching God transform and bring healing to various lives in this story. Hallee does such an excellent job of making her characters come to life and matter to readers. I highly recommend the series. This is one readers will find immensely entertaining and enjoyable and will learn something new as well. I can’t wait for the next book in the series! Please hurry Hallee! My rating is 5 stars. A Melody for James (Christian Romantic Suspense) (Song of Suspense)
A Melody for James (Christian Romantic Suspense) (Song of Suspense) - Hallee Bridgeman Title: A Melody for James (Part 1 of the Song of Suspense Series) Author: Hallee Bridgeman Pages: 328 Year: 2013 Publisher: Olivia Kimbrell Press If you know anything about Hallee it is that not only does she write, but her other passion is homemaking. Some of her recipes are simple and enticing; others have more ingredients that also sound delicious. When reading her A Melody for James, I couldn’t help but see her ability to bring a variety of additives to the story, turning out a perfectly delicious offering that entices the reader to keep reading late into the night. A Melody for James brings together characters from totally different professions with different gifts that make them successful in their field. While it can create some friction, these gifts can also complement or complete the makeup of another player. Here, a woman named Melody suffers from heartache and so does James, but neither know about the other at the time of the pain. Through a “chance” meeting, their lives touch each other’s soul and heart, but not all is happiness for either of them at first. Through a maze of life’s occurrences, they are separated from each other for some time. During that time, each change in what some would consider 180 degrees, which makes the likelihood of meeting each other in the future unfavorable. Or does it? Kurt, James’ business partner, falls in love with a woman who loves to entertain and decorate. When roses and threatening notes are left for Melody in various places and times, the police are finding it hard to discover the one meant to bring deadly harm to the successful singer. With mystery, romances, along with faith are just a few of the elements that are brought to the book that will captivate the mind and race the heart of readers. However, because of the brilliant mind of the author, this plot is more than just a “whodunit” type of adventure. As I kept reading, I knew that something was cooking underneath all of the action and adventure. With such real lifelike drama, I am sure you will come to the conclusion and discover what is being presented to her audience. Here is one of those novels I didn’t want to rush through or get to the end as I enjoy a great conclusion I feel a letdown. Immediately I start thinking or looking for what is coming next by the same author and how soon or I look at my stack to read with overflowing choices. Have you heard the statement “all good things must come to an end”? Do they? Yes, in that a book is finished; no, because there are more books to read and discoveries to be made simply by turning the cover to page one. Kudos Hallee! Keep those stories coming! My rating is 5+ stars! Note: I received a complimentary copy for an honest review of this book. The opinions shared in this review are solely my responsibility.
