Heartwarming Christmas Story
Deck the Halls: A Darling, VT Christmas Romance Novella (A Darling, VT Novel) - Donna Alward

Deck The Halls by Donna Alward is a fairly short read, a perfect choice for those with limited time for reading.  Ms Alward has delivered a well-written Christmas book that will work it's way into your heart.  George, suffering from PTSD, is a veteran that joined the ranks of homeless vets and is just beginning to get his life back.  Amy is the sister of the soldier George blames himself for not protecting.  George and Amy's story is loaded with drama and just a hint of spice.  This is a clean read, appropriate for any age.  I enjoyed reading Deck The Halls and look forward to my next book by Donna Alward.  Deck The Halls is part of the Darling, VT Series but can be read as a standalone.  This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

I voluntarily read an Advance Reader Copy of this book that I received from NetGalley.

This was a surprisingly heavy read, and I was COMPLETELY lost while reading it since I haven't read any of the other books in the series (I will be going back to read the whole series for sure.)

That aside, I really did enjoy this one. Mostly centered around TUCKER, Thea's son she gave up for adoption when she was a teenager. The story is told from multiple POV's that add different layers and emotions to the story. It is a rather heavy subject matter that is tackled, and my heart ached for Tucker and Thea. But it is well written and despite being pretty lost to who everyone was, it still managed to suck me in completely.

Overall a really touching novella full of love and feels. I will definitely be checking out this series in the near future in preparation for Tucker's book next year.

Deck The Halls
Deck the Halls: A Christmas Horror: War on Christmas #2 - Edward Lorn

Last year, when reading The Naughty List I had no idea this was going to be a one-a-year Christmas series.

What can I say, it's a very short Christmas story that's definitely not for little children, or people who want something sweet and cosy.

The cruellest thing however is that we'll have to wait a full year to learn how the story continues...

Deck the Halls: A Christmas Horror by Edward Lorn
Deck the Halls: A Christmas Horror: War on Christmas #2 - Edward Lorn

This short little horror story is perfect to read the day before Christmas. Santa is on his way home after his adventure against the Naughty (read the first short story The Naughty List). But something is wrong at home...

Let me tell you, don't fuck with Santa, he will do whatever it takes to get back someone precious to him that the Naughty has kidnapped. Even seeking up and old enemy...

The only thing that I found to be negative with the story was the cliffhanger ending. Other than that, it was a well-written, but a bit sad (Why E, why? That poor reindeer) story.

I'm looking forward to reading part 3!

This is my good news!
Deck the Halls: A Christmas Horror: War on Christmas #2 - Edward Lorn

This is the review where I ask for more, or at the very least, suggest that this could easily expand via other short stories, or perhaps longer work that one paid for?

We're graced with another free short.   Thank you, E, and you're welcome, world, for suggesting that there be more.   And although I won't post them, there were PMs: E asked me how I wanted to be addressed in this dedication and I chose my real name because, yeah, I want to show it to people I know.
