Love and Cupcakes
Love and Cupcakes - Kris T. Bethke Love and Cupcakes - Kris T. Bethke Had some minor grammatical errors, it could have used a beta read or editor.

A short friends to lovers story. Evan has been in love with his best friend Mac? For a years but the feeling didn’t seem mutual and Evan contents himself with just knowing Mac is in his life. Then Mac calls late one night in a bit of a panic because the bakery supplying his grandfather’s birthday cupcakes won’t be able to. Mac enlists Evan’s help, and Evan being the friend he is agrees under some conditions. Evan never expects Mac to kiss him in-between baking.

No real surprises in the story the blurb pretty much summarizes the whole story but it was a fun story to read and see unfold. Mac and Evan’s interaction was nice. I didn’t expect Mac to be so crass but I guess being a firefighter wording isn’t an issue.

All's Fair in Love and Cupcakes
All's Fair in Love and Cupcakes - Betty St Amant Definitely a sweet-tooth worthy surprise!

“All’s Fair in Love and Cupcakes” had one of those sweet heroes that literally made my hopeless romantic heart go pitter-patter. Lucas loves Kat with a beautiful, sacrificial love that is stuck in limbo between “best friends” and “something more”. I couldn’t help but ache for him just a little and wish he would walk off the pages of the book and be the “boy next door”.

Between the combination of sugary cupcake sweetness and kisses that would make any girl swoon, this novel did nothing short of entertain and delight me from beginning to end. Sassy humor with a spunky story line, I cheered for Kat and wanted her to see her dream come true—and yet realize that love was directly in front of her…if she would only open up her eyes and her mouth to communicate it! Much can be said for the romantic tension, but I’ll leave it at that for now.

Kat is loveable and sweet, though she has her faults and I anxiously counted the pages until she realized it’s not just about the cupcakes, it has never been just about the cupcakes. I loved the themes threading through the book and the sacrificial surrender of each of the characters in the end, in the face of their ultimate desire.

All together, thumbs up and I will eagerly wait for more!

This review is my honest opinion. Thanks to the publishers and Netgalley for my copy to review.

Beautiful
I Love Your Cupcakes - Olga Núñez Miret

"I Love Your Cupcakes" by Olga Núñez Miret is a lighthearted and very enjoyable romantic comedy with loveable characters. Underdogs making a success of their lives is always a very rewarding topic and the novel has a wonderful fee good factor about it.
My other half is into baking and we're watching a lot of those programmes on Television. The author has captured the spirit of those shows and its contestants and has made it the perfect settings for the characters to examine and improve their lives, just as a good baker works on their recipes until they are perfect.
The book is also a thoughtful musing on what life is all about, observations of human behaviour and deeper thoughts are woven into the tapestry of the story and put the emphasis on "heart" in "lighthearted".
What a lovely read.

I Love Your Cupcakes
I Love Your Cupcakes - Olga Núñez Miret Paper version of 'I Love Your Cupcakes'
I wrote this books partly as therapy after a period where things were going pretty badly and I wanted a safe world and something light, cheerful and optimistic. I hope you think I achieved that.
