I really think it was me on this one. ..
Whiskey and Moonshine - Elizabeth Noble,John Solo

For some reason it just struck me as too much sunshine, lollipops and rainbows.

By the time I got done listening to this book...I was bored and I just felt like I wanted my life back. I've read/listened to stories that were way more over the top with the sunshine, lollipops and rainbows and enjoyed them...so, seriously I'm thinking this was as much me as anything but whatever the reason this story and me were just not a happening thing.

Still I appreciate the publisher giving me the opportunity to give this audio book a try and there are a lot of really good reviews out there by some pretty awesome people. So please don't just take my word for it about this one, check it out you may end up liking it a whole lot more than I did.

An audio book of 'Whiskey and Moonshine' was graciously provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Some Graphic Novels
Wonder Woman Vol. 2: Year One (Rebirth) - Greg Rucka
The Unworthy Thor Vol. 1 - Olivier Coipe... The Unworthy Thor Vol. 1 - Olivier Coipel (illustrator) Jason Aaron (author)
Moonshine Volume 1 - Brian Azzarello Moonshine Volume 1 - Brian Azzarello

Which won't scan dammit.

Wonder Woman Year one which I really enjoyed. A great origin story with only occasional weird angles that look like the artist is trying to upskirt or stare down the boobs

Then I read Unworthy Thor, he's just being an angsty teen. Seriously, he needs to adult up.

Then I read Moonshine Vol 1, not my kind of art style and I have no urge to read more.

Entertaining few reads, they go so quickly. I read the Wonder Woman twice.  I do want to read more in this series

A dark Prohibition-era comic collection - pretty good stuff
Moonshine Volume 1 - Brian Azzarello Moonshine Volume 1 - Brian Azzarello
A dark Prohibition-era comic collection, this is well-produced and the illustrations, though not always clear, are well-executed. A lot of seedy characters are involved in a conflict between New York gangsters and Virginia hillbillies producing the moonshine of the title. Into this mix is a were-monster creating havoc.

With no endearing characters, this collection is worth a look, especially if you are a fan of Brian Azzarello's work. The story seems to come to a natural conclusion but this is Volume 1 so perhaps there is more to come.

Quick Read
Moon Over Atlanta (A Magnolias and Moons... Moon Over Atlanta (A Magnolias and Moonshine Novella Book 6) - Kymber Morgan,Magnolias and Moonshine,Jae Ashley

Moon Over Atlanta is my first book by author Kymber Morgan. This is a fairly quick read, a perfect choice for paranormal lovers with limited time for reading. I thought this book was well-written. I especially loved Ms Morgan's characters. Ryan and Sara's story is filled with humor, suspense, action and spice. I enjoyed Moon Over Atlanta and would be happy to read more from Kymber Morgan in the future. Moon Over Atlanta is book 6 of the Magnolias and Moonshine Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Moonshine By Tess Oliver Free!
Moonshine: A New Adult Historical Romance - Tess Oliver

Having been 'dry' long before Prohibition, locals living in Virginia, along the base of the Blue Ridge mountains, had a head start on the moonshine business. And when the country craved something to quench its thirst, the Tidewater bootleggers were ready.

In his small hometown in the shadows of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Jackson Jarrett is known as a decorated war hero, a damn successful bootlegger and a man who never gives his heart to anyone. Personal tragedy and fighting on the front line in France have left Jackson scarred and hardened to the notion of falling in love until the traveling carnival with its colorful tents, exotic side shows and Charli Starfield, the beautiful and fearless motorcycle stunt rider, rolls into town.
