The No Brides Club is back to touch your heart with a ton of emotion dusted with a hint of light-hearted humor. For Emilia and Chase love was never kind. Young love left two heartbroken adults in it's wake. Years later and much wiser, these two exes are at a crossroads. Will they risk their hearts again or this time walk away for good? No Time For Romance is full of common sense and a bit of modern fairytale. Raine puts emotions through the wringer with an inspirational brand of heartwarming magic.

I like my horror reads to be absolutely chilling and of the mind-fuck variety, so I'd say very scary for any title here.

It - Stephen King : Beyond how inherently scary a concept a boggart is, and one written by King at that, what terrified me in this book is the truth of how helpless children are against adults, their power and their belief in other adults. It's always that scene where Bev is running from her not-dad, and no adult even stopping, because it rings so creepily real.

Lolita - Vladimir Nabokov : I don't get why anyone would mistake this one for a romance. Ever. That's the ickiest, most compelling and therefore scariest, unreliable narrator of literature. Real horror.

Misery - Stephen King : This one gave me palpitations. It gets violent and there are lasting consequences.

Ponies - Kij Johnson : Maybe horror is not the genre one would put it, but this little does cause horror. I never read it again, but I still feel like crying when I remember it.

This was a sweet read. I loved both characters. Past experiences convinced them that opposites do not belong together. Kinsley was a strong woman but very much a workaholic, trying to run her own business. I enjoyed Dylan's love of nature and animals, and I thoroughly enjoyed the fun facts sprinkled throughout the story. This story made me smile, made me cry, and and was hard to put down.

The best gifts are the ones you feel in your heart, but never saw headed your way. It's those surprises that keep us interested in the merry go round that life has in store. That's why I find the No Brides Club so inspiring. English has created a world full of strong women, but lost souls. No Time for Love is the beginning of one woman's journey. For Kinsley, her life is her career. It took tons of hard work to make it to the top and she has no plans to bow out now. Can a surprise bequest give her the life she never dreamed of or cost her the one she worked tirelessly to build? One act of love changes the course of her life and sets her on an unforgettable quest. Kinsley and Dylan are the best of what makes reading great.
