Blurb

In Rhyannon Byrd's latest Bloodrunners

romance, passion and secrets collide and

only their love will save two werewolves

 and their pack.

With his sharp gaze locked on the most

magnificent female he'd ever seen, Wyatt

Pallaton did his best to hold himself back

. Of course, Elise Drake was hardly just

any female. Fiery and cool, strong, yet at

the same time achingly vulnerable, she'd

turned his entire world on its head.

No matter how bloody difficult it proved

to be, he was done letting her pretend he

didn't even exist. Done with letting her

fight her own battles. Done driving

himself slowly into this maddening state

of frustrated desire. One way or another,

 things were about to change.

Come hell or high water, she was done

 running…

Wow ! What a page turner from beginning to end could not put my book down.I love the series so much I purchased the rest of the series to read right after I finished reading this title.I have read Rhyannon Byrd books over the years and really enjoyed them so I was glad to see a new title from her to read.I love reading paranormal books and love reading about those hunky shape-shifters so this was the perfect romance novel for me to indulge in .

What a wonderful plot and story of romance surrounded by danger and lots of intrigue.Just love the two main characters Elise and Wyatt both amazing characters.

Elise she was a firecracker for sure. She was a tough outspoken women who seemed to be tough as nails. She never took no for and answer. She was determined and had nerves of steel.Considering her job description you would never have thought she had this kind of personality.

Elise set out to find her missing sister. She packed up her life to go on the road to find her .She was her one focus in her life.In finding her sister she is now mixed up in a plot of human trafficking by and opposing shape shifter clan.Having no clue of what she has stumbled upon she is rescued by Wyatt Pallaton a shape-shifter with the blood of royalty.

Wyatt tried to warn Elise to move on from there very first meeting but she was having none of it.The tall dark mesmerizing man wasn't scaring her off. After reading the scene of there first meeting I new this couple would be drawn to to each other and the sparks would fly between this couple.I smiled and chuckled through the whole scene of the two of them head to toe with each other just picturing this tiny little women with the giant of a man.(lol)

Wyatt had to be my favorite character. He was one of those love-able characters with a big heart protective of those he loved and still protective of those he didn't. I did feel sorry for him at times because his pack members kept him at a bit of a distant his blood line was one of those reasons as it was the purest of there kind. He was also being judged for his fathers sins and not his own and it really isn't fair as he is nothing like the monster his father was .He was not only his father  but, was there pack leader to.There is a sadness to him.Even though he was well liked by the rogue hunters and respected by others you felt his loneliness and despair. Elsie was his one bright light in it all his sunshine his mate but, not trusting his own  feelings toward Elise he pushes her away then pulls her in pushes her away again like a tug of war.You understand though he is afraid of hurting her but , I think its more he thinks he was undeserving of her love.If was not half  in love with Wyatt's character from the  very beginning I was  head over heels after he risked his life to save Elsie's and what he did to care for afterward made me tumble .Sigh....

This was such a great story. So much going on all the time.Secrets coming to life .Learning the real secrets of her sister's kidnapping. The journey of Wyatt and Elsie falling in love .The sisters betrayal and not seeing a happily ever after in this foreseeable future for this couple. An lets not forget the other amazing characters we were getting to know and learn about. So looking forward to reading their stories. This story had everything  to make it an amazing and intriguing story to keep you turning the pages into the wee hours of the morning.

Looking forward to the next installment and the past installments already loaded on my kindle.Recommended to all the paranormal romance junkies like me.

If you are wanting to read the other books in this series as well they are currently on sale in a bundle on amazon just click the link below.

Happy Reading All !

My February Reading
Piper - Helen McCabe
Margins - E. Lorn,Edward Lorn
Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children - Ransom Riggs
Little Women - Louisa May Alcott,Laura Ciolkowski
Saving Grace - Julie Garwood
Against the Wall - Rhyannon Byrd

I know, it's so late in March it's barely worth bothering with a post of what I read in February (never mind the fact that I hardly read anything anyway), but I'm writing it anyway.

Six books are all I managed to get through in February, :( that's a very bleak total that I would really like to add a one to.

I had one high, one low, four in between, so there's not much choice for best or worst of the month.  The titles and links to their reviews are listed below.

1. Piper by Helen McCabe, you can read my review here

2. Margins by E. Lorn, you can read my review here

3. Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children (Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, #1) by Ransom Riggs, you can read my review here

4. Little Women (Little Women, #1) by Louisa May Alcott, you can read my review here

5. Saving Grace by Julie Garwood, I read this when I was feeling my worst and didn't write a review, I will be sure to next time I read it.

6. Against the Wall by Rhyannon Byrd, you can read my review here

My Reading Stats for February

  • 6 books in 29 days, that's an average of 0.2 books per day
  • 1754 pages in 29 days, that's an average of 60.48 per day and 292.33 per book
  • 6 books with an average rating of 3.66 stars
  • My fastest read was my highest rated, Little Women
  • My best was clearly Little Women and my worst was just as clearly Piper.

I'll be back in just over a week, hope you all have a good Easter break.

Against the Wall by Rhyannon Byrd
Against the Wall - Rhyannon Byrd

23/3 - 2.5 stars because there was a whole lot of SEX and not much else to this book. I can only think of one scene where there wasn't any sex and they spent most of that scene looking at each other with heat in their eyes and then when the heat became unbearable he dragged her back to his apartment for more sex. There was also way too much discussion of fluids, she began to sound like a leaky tap and how is that sexy?! I have read one other of Byrd's books, Take Me Under, which I thought was fantastic, so I know she can write, which makes me wonder whether this book was an aberration due to either how early on in her career this was written (one of her first solo books) or the publishing company it was written for (Ellora's Cave seems to publish a lot of 'sex first, plot later if at all' books). Lucky for me I read one of her more recent books before I read this one, so I haven't been put off by the constant repetition of the same phrases, an obsession with fluids, or the lack of plot, because I know she got better with experience (and possibly a publisher change). I wouldn't run out to get a hold of her earlier stuff, but I would for the sequel to Take Me Under.

Keeping His Promise
Keeping His Promise - Rhyannon Byrd Keeping His Promise - Rhyannon Byrd Geez Louise did Natalie ruin this frigging book. She wasn't just a garden variety bitch, but a supreme someone should punch her in the face bitch.

description

This poor hero deserved someone SO much better then Natalie. He kept throwing out lines like the following...

“I will earn your trust, sweetheart. I will fucking work for it till I bleed.”

Nice right? Except he didn't do a DAMN THING that required him to earn her trust!! Natalie was one of those pathetic heroines that should have got professional help YEARS ago. The poor delicate flower saw her daddy banging the babysitter and now every man on Earth is a cheater. GROW THE FUCK UP NATALIE

So here is my salute to you Bitch who doesn't deserve a guy like Sean...

Making His Move
Making His Move - Rhyannon Byrd This was a short and super HOT read. Both characters were likable. The ex drama was a bit trite, but I suppose the author needed something to cause a little angst. I'll give other books by this author a go.
