Wouldn't it be nice if you could just bid on your future love? Easy peasey dating? Well, in Romanceland you can!

The theme of the Bachelor Auction is a popular way to meet or remeet a hero.

Enjoy these wonderful romances with this theme! My lists are never in any particular order.

1. One Night with Her Bachelor by Kat Latham

Bid on a date with this wounded warrior for an unforgettable night of adventure. Aim high—and bid higher!—because no one comes close to local hero Gabriel Morales.

Molly Dekker hates being the town charity case, but when her son Josh is seriously injured she has no choice. She lets her best friend organize a bachelor auction to help pay her massive bills and make Josh’s life more comfortable. She can’t bid on any of the men, but a surprise bidder gives her a gift she never expected: a date with the man who saved her son’s life—the only one she’s in danger of losing her heart to.

Former Air Force pararescueman Gabriel Morales made a career of flying to the rescue, until a tragic helicopter crash stole more than his livelihood. Being auctioned off like a slab of beef isn’t in his recovery plan. But one look, one touch and one night unlocking Molly’s pent-up passion make him realize how badly he needs to be rescued…and how badly he wants to rescue Molly right back.

Will Molly and Gabriel’s never-quit attitude have them rushing head-first into love? Or will Gabriel’s secret pain stall their relationship before it can get off the ground?

2. Uncommon Passion by Anne Calhoun

After leaving a restrictive religious community, Rachel Hill is on a mission to divest herself of her virginity. Newly independent and struggling to establish herself, she’s not looking for anything complicated. She bids on sexy SWAT officer Ben Harris at a bachelor auction, confident he’ll give her the night of her life and nothing more.

But Ben is jaded and detached, living his life in an endless cycle of danger-fueled adrenaline jags, drinking, and sex. When he misses the fact that his bachelor auction hookup is a virgin, he’s shocked by his obliviousness, and by the risk she took. To make amends, Ben offers Rachel all he can: a no-strings-attached sexual education.

Ben’s lessons introduce Rachel to down and dirty passion, but she’s searching for something more profound than sex, and she’s willing to walk away to find it. Ben can’t get Rachel out of his head, but will he come to terms with his troubled past and learn to love?

3. A WHOLE LOT OF LOVE by Justine Davis

Layla Laraway has a smooth-as-silk voice, but when most men meet her in person, they disregard her due to her full figure. Layla's gotten used to the idea that no man will ever fall in love with her, and she's got her work with Alzheimer's patients and her charity work to keep her busy. When she’s accidentally thrown onto the auction block at a charity event, Ethan Winslow bids on her when no one else does. Can Layla get past her insecurities and see that she’s found a good man, or will the love in her heart go to waste?

4. The Fireman Who Loved Me by Jennifer Bernard

Set in a California firehouse where all the fire fighters are gorgeous and single, The Fireman Who Loved Me follows the romantic exploits of Captain Brody of Station 52 who inadvertently becomes the prize at a charity “bachelor auction” and is won by a sweet, meddling old lady who turns him over to her husbandless, local TV news producer granddaughter.

5. Father Of The Brood  by Elizabeth Bevarly

BACHELOR FOR SALE

Maybe you can't buy love, but in Annie Malone's case, it wasn't for lack of trying! And though the housemother of twelve bids on Ike Guthrie for the sake of her "children," one look at his healthy physique and penetrating blue eyes had Annie realizing that spending the weekend alone with him might not be a sacrifice.

PACKAGE DEAL

Ike Guthrie didn't know how he got involved in this bachelor auction, but one thing was for sure: though his "buyer" might be unexpectedly sexy, her kids were more than he had bargained for.

6. SEAL Wolf Hunting by Terry Spear

HOTTEST OF THE HOT ON THE NAVY SEAL WOLF TEAM
Paul Cunningham has eluded many traps in his long career as a Navy SEAL, but there's no way out of this one. On a rare visit home, he gets "volunteered" for a local charity bachelor auction, and the community is counting on him. Then he discovers that the sexy she-wolf with the winning ticket is Lori Greypaw-the one woman he could never resist. And she has plans for Paul that go way beyond a simple date. For the first time in his bachelor life, this alpha wolf SEAL is going to have to prove his worth...

7. Feeding the Fire by Andrea Laurence

Pepper has no interest in Grant Chamberlain…until she accidentally wins him at a school auction and finds the mega-hot firefighter impossible to ignore. Find out what happens next in the second playful and sexy ebook romance in the Rosewood series!

Living in the small town of Rosewood, Alabama, hairdresser Pepper Anthony has one rule—never date a Chamberlain. She’s always said, “the only thing worse than being ignored by a Chamberlain is being dumped by one.” But Grant Chamberlain, town fireman, isn’t used to rejection, and Pepper has consistently turned him down since high school. She isn’t intimidated by his family; she’s one of the few who refuses to take their crap.

When Grant volunteers at the charity bachelor auction, to his surprise, Pepper buys him. She hadn’t meant to, but Adelia Chamberlain dropped a cold drink in her lap, sending her leaping into the air at precisely the wrong moment. Suddenly she had a massive bill to the town and Grant at her disposal. Since the money has to come from her “restore the house” fund, she decides to use Grant for manual labor instead of romantic dinners. Grant is happy to help, sweaty and shirtless, because one way or another, he’s going to get Pepper to admit she’s attracted to him. All it takes is a small spark, and soon they’ll be fanning the flames.

8. Courting Callie by Lynn Erickson

Widower Mase LeBow figures Callie Thorne's remote equine therapy ranch is the best place to protect his son. So he's determined to charm her after she "buys" him for a date at the Lost Springs Bachelor Auction. But her insistence on helping his withdrawn boy gets past his defenses…and that can't happen. Falling in love with Callie when he's the star witness in a murder trial would be a huge mistake.

9. Goal: A Mate by Selena Illyria

When you meet your true mate, you’ve got to take the shot...

Werewolf Pack Princess Kelly is overwhelmed with her new business, trouble with the rival cat shifters, and trying to ignore the attraction to her best friend’s younger brother. By bidding on Brandon in the Bachelor Auction, she thought she was just doing him a favor, saving him from the craziness. But now that she’s won him, her wolf wants to mark him as her mate, and she’s starting to lose control. So when he whisks her away for his birthday weekend, how can she say no? Every kiss distracts her. Each caress sets her on fire. And every whiff of his scent makes her wolf want to take him where he stands.

As a former hockey player and werewolf, Brandon knows all about being pulled in different directions. And he knows exactly what he’s asking for when he pursues a relationship with the already overwhelmed Kelly. She may be five years older than he is, and the daughter of his pack’s Alpha, and his sister’s best friend and business partner, but none of that matters. There’s only one person he wants to spend his birthday with, and he’s not going to let her refuse. And when Brandon has his eye on the goal, there’s nothing that can stop him...

10. Ace Is Wild by Penny McCall

When beautiful clairvoyant Vivienne Foster starts having visions of the murder of hotshot U.S. Attorney Daniel 'Ac' Pierce, she ca't just sit back and do nothing. Which is how she winds up at a charity bachelor auction where h's the top attraction, hoping a loaded .38 will make him see the light. Pierce assumes that the woman holding him at gunpoint is crazy. But when she later saves his life, even a skeptic like Daniel has to take notice not that he could ever ignore a beauty like her.

Did I miss your favorite bachelor up for auction? Let me know!

Review-The Fireman Who Loved Me
The Fireman Who Loved Me - Jennifer Bernard

Summary

Melissa McGuire, is a new producer and came to San Gabriel to be with her grandmother. Her grandmother is always trying to find ways to get her married and hitched, and Melissa is at the end of her rope. When her grandmother asks her to come to an event but doesn’t tell her what it is, Melissa comes. When she arrives she is shocked to discover the amount of women, and that it is an auction of hot and sexy firemen. She is appalled and she can’t believe her grandmother would have her here…its embarrassing…and what woman would do such a thing….apparently all of the city of San Grabriel. But when her grandmother bids on the hottest of the firefighters, Ryan, she can hardly believe her eyes. But at the time of the date, her grandmother fakes being sick and Melissa is forced to go in her stead…but its not Ryan that shows on the door…its the captain, Brody. Brody is the Fire Fighter captain, and has worked hard to get to that position. When his best friend Ryan, begs him to take over the date with the elderly lady, Brody reluctantly agrees. But he is pleased to discover that his date will be the gorgeous granddaughter. Sparks fly, tensions rise….and they share one whopper of a kiss that seals their fate….but certain disasters occur that could keep them apart…will their love be enough to withstand the coming tide?

The Hero

Brody, isn’t trusting of women, he is divorced from a woman who was flighty and not committed to the relationship. But he loved her and care for her and she didn’t. Brody is determined to focus on his job and working on his house. What he doesn’t expect is to fall for a sexy news woman, which is the last thing he needs. But Brody finds her breathtaking, witty, fiery in her standards, and independent. Brody is a hero to adore, I love the way he is with his men, a commander and a leader, sexy as sin, plus he is good with his hands. He played the perfect role for the story.

The Heroine

Melissa hasn’t had time for relationships, and quite frankly after being betrayed by her ex, she decided to focus on her career and her grandmother and forget about men and the problems the come with them. Melissa is driven, independent, protective of her grandmother, but has lost her “zest” At first she seemed to be a bit of a door mat at times…very passive and not a fighter at all, especially when her crazy “friend” (if we could even call what they have true friendship) take over on everything. But we do see her fight back eventually, it just takes longer that you would think, but when you find out how she got burned in her previous job, it makes her seem more human at times, and we see a side of human nature that is true but we might not like to see. But what I loved most was seeing her true form come back and fight for what she really wants. By the end her character seemed to explode for me…and I loved the way the author worked that in.

Plot and Story Line

The Fireman Who Loved Me is the first book that I have read from this author. With her new series coming out next month, I just knew I needed to try this series out…and quite frankly I was long overdue reading this book, because hot and sexy single firemen??? Oh hot mama…count me in. After reading The Fireman Who Loved Me is the first full length novel of the series, and what drew me in was the first few pages…it is rare for me to get so fully involved in a story within the first pages…but Jennifer Bernard succeeded and I was bursting into giggles on my break at work…I tell you, the stares made everyone think I was a nut case…but I don’t care, it was freaking hilarious. This is probably the moment I fell for the heroine, because she seems very self-assured and confident and so embarrassed to be at a event that showcases men’s bodies (no matter how hot they are), and tries to hide under the table with her grandmother sitting proudly next to her. The grandmohter…now she was hilarious and I wouldn’t be surprised if she would have been a “flower child” back in the day, she is vibrant and wild and so funny to watch her interactions. But what was sweet about this grandmother, is that she is dying from cancer, and she wants her granddaughter happy in love and married before she goes, and she will resort to any means to make that dream come true. Now the one person I didn’t like was the friend, Ella. She is one piece of work, selfish in every way. But there is a little sub plot with a man who is her perfect match in every way…literally. What was also fun was the commaderie of the firemen. I loved them all, and I can hardly wait to read their stories…especially Ryan’s. What made this story quite wonderful was the sweet love story that develops, and the crazy mishaps that happen….but overall this is a blazing hot romance to sizzle your toes.

The Cover

I really love the cover..its flirty and playful, and gives off the tone “sweet romance” and I just love those abs on our Fireman….whew he is sexy HOT right?

Overall View

The Fireman Who Loved Me is a sexy read to burn you if you’re not careful. It’s a story of fighting for who you love, of crazy circumstances that bring two people together, how opposites really Do attract…and a poignant love story to make you scream for more. DELICIOUSLY ROMANTIC!!

I personally wouldn't elect to be in a relationship with a firefighter. The schedule is brutal and I would freak out every time there is a wild fire in California--which is every summer and fall.

But I do like like looking at them and reading about them in Romance Novels.

There is a fire training station near my home. I often get to see recruits being put through the paces to learn to do their amazing work.

Cheers and blessings to all those fire fighters out there with a special hoo-rah to the ladies!

The Fireman Who Loved Me (The Bachelor Firemen of San Gabriel, #1)
The Fireman Who Loved Me (The Bachelor Firemen of San Gabriel, #1) - Jennifer Bernard Melissa´s a tv producer who´s grandma sets up with a date from an auction, a firefighter action. Not wanting to be a part of this she soon gets manipulated by her grannys guilt show.
Fire Captain Harry jumps in as the date in the last minute when the bought fire fighter gets cold feet at the thought of dating Gran.
Destiny conspires, and soon Melissa & Harry finds they´ve got more in common than they thought at first sight.
Contemporary fluff with a side of fire. Suspense, angst and ass hole x´s appear, too.
