I have put this book on hiatus
Scarlett - Alexandra Ripley

As of now, I had to put this book on hiatus. Not because of the writing, but because the way it made me feel during and a few hours later after reading. It brought up such intense emotions that I felt unstable temporarily. I do plan on picking this book up again, when I think I can emotionally handle it better.

I read Gone with the Wind four years ago, which was a very bad time for me. I was off meds, not going to therapy, someone who meant a lot to me passed away, and I was in a very toxic relationship/friendship. So while reading this book, it became a symbol and created an emotional link in my psyche (subconscious then, I'm sure) of a really bad time in my life. I thought I have dealt with these issues (on meds, in therapy, grieved, and cut ties with that ex for good), but I think I still have some work to do on that issue (yay! Like I don't have enough to deal with in therapy LOL).

When I start reading this again, I might have to, with help from my therapist to examine why this book affects me like this.

To be clear, I don't think the issue is with this book, but the issue lies in my brain.

TL;DR:

Random Update

Random thought: one of my new psych meds has a side effect of tremors, so my hands randomly shake now. It's not the worst ever, but it's annoying. Luckily I don't drive or operate heavy machinery. /Bipolar problems

Real (Real #1)
Real - Katy Evans

Review to come.

Edit: Disclaimer: snark and gifs and most likely bad language. It's about to get really real in here. Pun intended.

Prepare your feeds...

I'm about to get some reviewing done.

I haven't really reviewed anything in months, why? Well, to be honest, I have been feeling depressed, and it took a long time to get my meds at the proper dosage again. So, now that I feel properly medicated I feel motivated to review and snark. I hate my brain sometimes. lol /bipolar problems lol
