Recently the Huzbind asked me what I'd like for my birthday. My answer was obviously "Books", in the same way his answer is always "Something spicy" when I ask him what he'd like me to cook for tea.
It is my birthday today, and these are the treats I got from him :-)
Quick shelfie- one of the many little piles throughout my house. Still don't have a bookshelf, but I make it work.
I've been buying books again!
Books bought from Waterstones today, with gift vouchers we received from TalkTalk for leaving BT and going with them instead. Thank you, TalkTalk :-)
I've been wanting to read The Shock of the Fall and What Milo Saw for ages.
The Fox and the Star was bought purely for its beauty.
The Penguin Lessons was bought because it has a penguin on the cover ...wearing a scarf. Not that I ever judge a book by its cover of course ;-)
How to Build a Girl made me think of me as a teenager, as I lived in my Docs between the ages of about 13 and 19. Even went to school in them every day :-)
Meadowland sounds intriguing, plus I'm a bit of a crazy bird lady ;-)
