A delicious blend of hotness that pulls at the heartstrings with at times frustrating results. Snow is a temptation that I'm glad to have taken a chance on. Snow hit the taboo card and scored a 100.

Best New Contemporary Romance Series 2015

In order to get hooked on a series, I need a great first book. 

Here are some of my favorite first books in Contemporary Romance Series.  My lists are never in any particular order. Enjoy!

Summary:

Abigail has been separated from her husband for almost two years. After a marriage that brought her only insecurity, she seeks a life now of peace and independence with their six-year-old daughter. Thomas wants to put their marriage back together, because he liked the wife he used to have, but she never wants to be that person again.

She might need his help with their daughter and start to enjoy his company again, but she just can't trust him with her heart. Even when she discovers that her heart still wants him for a husband.

Notes:

I am DNF'ing at page 105 of 162. This shit is repetitive and the characters are so unlikable and childish. Abigail needs a shrink to deal with her Daddy and self-esteem issues and Thomas needs to stop being such a pushy, self-righteous asshole. These types of characters are why I avoid New Adult; at their age and with a child to raise, these two idiots should just grow the fuck up.

So in addition to the New Adult-BS going on in the main story, we got sequel bait scene where we find our heroine talking with a new woman in town, Sophie. Sophie's husband is a journalist who went to the Middle East two years ago (six months into the marriage) and was captured by Syrian rebels. He is still believed to be alive and the negotiations for his release are continuing.

This is not what a military wife wants to read about as her husband is currently on deployment in the Middle East. I read romance novels for escapism, not to have a cruel nightmare thrown in my face. FML.
