Booklikes-opoly! Turn #2 + Special Roll Day!

It took me forever to sort this one out! The double rolls and the special squares made this one hell of a turn!!

I slowed down the animation for the consequent steps and I really hope I didn't make any mistakes playing this one out.

I haven't selected any books yet, but most of them will be short as I want to fit them in the readathon!

Here are the boxes I landed on this turn: (in case you don't want to wait for the animation)

◈box 9: fantasy/fairy tale tag,

◈box 18: pub date 2006, 2011, 2013, 2014 or car on the cover,

◈box 27: author's initials found in "Tarzan" or tree on the cover,

◈box 34: tag middle grade/YA or toy/child on the cover,

◈box 2:character gets shot/main character knows how to handle a gun

I am so glad with the last square as I started the game late and everyone is so far ahead! I'll take a look at the players' banks in the discussion thread in order to choose a player with whom to share the "BL" square result.

Piggy Bank: 33$ (3$ from Coraline + 10$ from the BL square)

Cheers,

-M.

Hour 3 - Cover from memory Mini-Challenge

This is a fun one!

Imagine a book.

Easy. Of course it's a Harry Potter one. I went with the complete edition as it was easier in Paint - voilá:

LOL - close enough!

Hour 0 – Opening Survey

1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today?

In Netherlands, a small town called Nijmegen.

2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to?

This year I decided to not plan ahead my stack pile - just read.

3) Which snack are you most looking forward to?

They are called "Pindarotsjes" and they are basically nuts with a chocolate coating- they are delicious!

4) Tell us a little something about yourself!

Espresso lover bibliophile!

5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today? If this is your first read-a-thon, what are you most looking forward to?

This is my third readathon but the only one so far that I have decided to read the full 24 hours! We'll see how this works! The different thing will be that I do not have a specific list of books I want to read today. I will try to finish some of the books I had on my 'currently reading' shelf for too long!

Best of luck to all participating!

Happy reading!!

Cheers,

-M.
