I Attended the MST3K Reunion Show, and It Was Everything I Wanted It to Be

After I was done screaming and freaking out, I wrote up my experience at the MST3K reunion show last night for B&N SciFi.

Time Flies

Where did all the time go?

I moved my youngest daughter into her dorm room yesterday, where she will join her twin sisters for their senior year at Berkeley.

Empty nest syndrome, here I come.

Reading progress update: I've read 920 out of 959 pages.
A Dance With Dragons - George R.R. Martin

Soooo close to the end! I'm debating whether or not to finish this up at work today or save the last 15 pages or so for my ride home on the metro. I'm dying to get to the end of it, but I'm also really, really scared that something big is gonna happen and if one of my favorites dies, I might cry. I'd rather cry in the bathroom at work than on public transportation...

If anyone knows how this ends, should I finish this up in semi-privacy at my desk or will I be OK to read it in public? Ahhhh I don't know what to do!

Freaking Out: Real-Life Stories about Anxiety
Freaking Out: Real-Life Stories about Anxiety - Polly Wells,Peter Mitchell This was an excellent book for teens and adults alike. Anxiety is something that so many people suffer from and do not always know how to deal with.

The most important message from this book: you are not alone. You are not weird, a freak, or any other names you may call yourself inside your head.

I loved that this was from so many different perspectives. There is a lot of range, therefore teens are likely to connect with at least one of the stories.

I only wish I had a book like this 15 years ago.

I received this book from the publisher via Netgalley. This in no way influenced my review.
