The Ship of the Dead - Rick Riordan

Like all the books in this series, I really liked this. I think the best part of the series are the characters. I loved how his friends from the 19th floor had a bigger role in this book and had more character development. All of his friends are just so precious. I love them and want to protect each and every one of them.

Overall, this was a fantastic installment in the Magnus Chase series.

P.S. Alex is still my fav <3

Last catch up review
Champions (2016-) #12 - Mark Waid,Humberto Ramos

Ugh, I've read so little that's not a dry text book for school.  I actually did read something amusing yesterday, but I have to look into adding a zine if I can't find it on Amazon to add here.

So I forgot about that.   Anyway, I'm going to get some food after this: I'm feeling a little down and stressed today so I'm taking a mental health day and relaxing.  I kinda want someone to make food for me, something nice and warm, and the place that makes rice bowls, bread bowls, and salad bowls closes soon.   I'll end up going to library and eating there while I read.   Which is allowed, yay!

And I need to take a picture of my blanket that I'm reading under, but I don't have my phone on me, so later.    For now, this book.   It's all about Scott Summers who I find boring and just groan when I find out I'm reading all about him.

Except, this book goes into why he's like that, mostly by using the Psycho Pirate to take that stick out of his ass.   And he's kinda fun when he's not acting like a ninety-year-old dude.    Sorry to see him go, but this was a touching, empathetic look at why he's like he is, and it means I'll cut him some slack from now on, for real.   Or I'll try to remember to, at least.

It's also touching to see the rest of the group understand and stick up for him.  Lovely little comic here.

Really wish there was more Deadshot
Suicide Squad (2016-) #25 - Rob Williams,Eddy Barrows,Eber Ferreira,Adriano Lucas,Giuseppe Cafaro

I'm finding him an... underused character in this, at least as of late, and it's disappointing.   I still find him one of the most dynamic character on this team and the fact that Killer Croc is in love with June Moon doesn't really make up for that, despite the fact that how that relationship will play out is fascinating to me as well.

Still, nice to see this storyline wrapped up.   It was feeling just slightly drawn out and I'm annoyed at that in King's Batman already, which has dropped down to my the comic that I look forward to the least thanks to his overly extended storyline - a storyline that doesn't hold half the nuance or depth that his run on Vision did, so I'm also annoyed at that.   Which means that the other DC titles have been less appealing to me because I'm jaded by one of my favorite authors letting me down on one of DC's biggest titles.

Still loving this crossover
ROM vs. Transformers: Shining Armor #3 - John Barber,Christos Gage,Alex Milne

I'm not sure I want this to be wrapped up in just four issues: I can see the benefit in a sustained storyline over four issues.   There's no risk of dragging this out, but damn, I'm just having so much fun with a Cybertronian Solstar Knight that I don't really want this to end...

Loving this!

Just absolutely loving this series, even though it's just started.   Bloodshot is setting down with Magic, and their baby girl, Jessie.

Of course, nothing stays that good that long, and Bloodshot doesn't wait for the bad to coming looking for them.  He goes looking for it, to try and stop it before it gets to them.   Except he might not be looking at the right bad, the one that's really threatening them all...
