I chose this video of the U.S. Women's 4 x 100 Relay World Record at the London 2012 Olympics to make a connection with book, Patina, that I am reading. The connection that its has with my book is the main character Patina is running as the anchor for the girl's relay at their next meet. The details in the book that led me to this is the fact that Patina runs track and one of her events is the 4 x 100 Relay. The knowledge of my own that led me to this idea was that I remember watching the women set the world record live back in the summer of 2012.

Jason Brown's Long Program at the 2014 US Figure Skating Championships

He skated to Riverdance which was made famous when it debuted at the 1994 Eurovision in Dublin, Ireland as an interval act. He received a standing ovation after skating his long program because he is the only figure skater so far who has skated to Riverdance at a competition. Other figure skaters have skated to Riverdance but they did it outside competitions like the Riverdance on Ice show.
