Murder on the Links
Murder on the Links - Agatha Christie,John Moffatt
Murder on the Links - Agatha Christie

Meh.  But probably 'meh' because I listened to the BBC Audio full cast dramatisation and it wasn't as well scripted, or whatever it is they do, than the last one, Crooked House.  It was shorter, but somehow much more scattered, less cohesive.

What I can say that applies to any edition of this book is that:

1.  Dumb title; there's nothing here to do with golf, except the location of the body.

2.  I really can't stand Poirot.  Sorry, but I just wanted to reach through the speakers and yank on his silly moustaches.  Hastings doesn't come through so well here either, although that might have been how he was played in the audio; hopeless romantic falling instantly in love?  Ugh.

I'm going to have to read the print book to have anything more to say, i.e. plot and characterisation.  The murderer in this one totally blindsided me, but how much of that is to Christie's credit and how much because I never knew quite what was going on, I can't say.

Cards on the Table: A BBC Full-Cast Radio Drama
Cards on the Table - John Moffatt,Agatha Christie I am listening to the audiobook. I also have the paperback.

I have to say I really enjoy the audioplays. I find that sometimes narrators can't get all the voices quite right and this way too there's little chance of mixing everybody up.

The story itself, I had forgotten who did it. I kept imaging another book and then was thrown for a loop especially with the scene at the river.

The ABC Murders: A BBC Full-Cast Radio Drama
The ABC Murders: A BBC Full-Cast Radio Drama - Philip Jackson,John Moffatt,Simon Williams,Agatha Christie I didn't mean to listen to the radio dramatization of this book.I didn't even know there IS a radio dramatization of it.By pure chance or in other words,by mistake I downloaded it, supposing that it is the unabridged audio-book , it turned out to be a BBC radio drama. I love it,I listened to it three times, still it was as interesting. Now,I have about eight of them! I mean BBC radio dramas!
