A MODERN DAY WITCH HUNT by Kiki Howell
A Modern Day Witch Hunt - Kiki Howell

Kamillia does not know she is a witch. One day as she is working on her book, Luca appears at her front door saying she must go with him, so the Mastema does not kill her. Luca takes her to her grandfather's where she starts to learn the truth about herself and her parents' deaths. While there she is attacked by a dark force. It is through her grandfather and Luca abilities that she is saved. Luca receives a sign, and they must go to Italy. This is not a place that Kamillia wants to go. When they arrive, she learns why they were sent here. Can she help? Can they defeat the darkness?

I am not sure I can say wholeheartedly that I enjoyed this story. It is dark. Yes, Luca and Kamillia love each other but the ending was unsatisfying for me. After all they went through to have it end like that is a letdown. I would have preferred a more positive ending, especially for Kamillia. I liked Kamillia and Luca. I liked that they had a back story, but their present story was more positive. I wish Ahti (kind of Luca's "boss") would have been able to make some changes to their present and future.

This was not a HEA in the way I am used to in romances. I would say it's an as good as it can be romance.

Review: Finding Finn
Finding Finn: Wolf Shifter Mpreg Romance (Wolf's Mate Book 1) - Kiki Burrelli

This was what it was, a short shifter romance novella. The story was interesting, but the writing seemed rushed in places, which is why I only gave it three stars. The transitions from one scene to another were nonexistent. They were doing one thing, the chapter would end abruptly, and then they were doing something completely different in the new chapter. It wasn't a bad read, I'd consider reading the rest of the series.

Finn is a mentally fragile young man who goes to stay with his favorite sibling, Frannie. What Frannie didn't tell him was that she was going to be away for a week and that her handsome friend Luke would be staying at the house as well. Luke is a wolf shifter, who recognizes Finn as his mate the first moment he saw him. Luke never thought it was possible because he is gay. He spent the last 20 years of his life as a lone wolf because of his sexual preference, as his father kicked him out and then blacklisted him from other packs. Now somehow Luke has found his mate and ended up in an area run by and eccentric alpha that's more on the crazier side of eccentric, and his father is part of the pack

Things get weird quickly. Mating with Finn as thrown him into heat at the shock of everyone as Finn is human. And now the creepy alpha of the territory wants Finn for himself, even though he mated to Luke. Luke somehow makes up with his father, and the take in three random stray lone wolves and create a makeshift pack. Finn gets preggers, the alpha strikes and Luke kills him easily(almost too easily.) Finn gives birth to a baby girl, and at the end his sort-of friend Christian shows up out of nowhere after having disappeared midway through the novella. As I said, the quickness of everything would have been better suited with proper transitions, but this was exactly what I expect it to be when I picked it. And I am interested in seeing where Christian disappeared to and what he knows because in this reality, shifters are unknown.

THE SPACE BETWEEN by Kiki Thorpe
The Space Between - Kiki Thorpe,Jana Christy
The girls go back home but Milkweed, a mouse, seems to come through with them.  Mia's cat seems to be missing now.  Then Lainey discovers a breach in a fence near their homes.  Lainey goes back and finds Mia's cat who is reeking havoc in Never Land among the fairies.  What is going on?

I enjoyed the girls finding a breach in the area between earth and Never Land.  I also liked them fixing what the cat has done to the fairies.  I like that there will be more stories between the girls and Never Land.  This is perfect for an young elementary school reader.  All with Tinkerbell and the other fairies.

Too Late... I Love You
Too Late... I Love You - Kiki Archer Connie Parker is in her early twenties and mother of a three-year-old. She had got pregnant without quite planning for it and chooses to be a stay-at-home mom. Her relationship with her boyfriend, Kurt, isn’t all that great. In fact, the author has written a very realistic relationship where both want to try making it better each time they are alone, but the interaction is so broken that together they just cannot get it right. Connie sublimates her romanticism into writing during those little pockets of time that bringing up her baby gives her.

During one of her kiddie-activity she meets Maria, another mom with a three-year-old. Maria is completely put together, seemingly out-of-Connie’s-league rich, warm, funny and openly gay. Maria extends the hand of friendship to Connie and slowly they start spending time together.

As Connie’s relationship with Kurt deteriorates, her relationship with Maria thrives and grows…so much so that the book she is writing began with cynicism about love and is growing into a romance.

Finding Finn (Wolf's Mate Mpreg Romance Book One) Kiki Burrelli Free!
Finding Finn: Wolf Shifter Mpreg Romance (Wolf's Mate Book 1) - Kiki Burrelli

Fresh out of the institution after a failed suicide attempt, Finn's ready to crawl back up and reclaim life. He'll stick to his plan, take the tests, kiss all the butts and get back into grad school. That’s all he thinks about until he meets his new roommate the older, intimidating Luke.

Kicked out of his pack for being gay, alpha wolf Luke sees no way out of the solitary life he leads. That is, until he sees Finn, bent over the kitchen island, and the need to claim him, take him, becomes too much to bear. He'll do whatever it takes to bring Finn out of his shell and convince him they're mates.

But Luke’s alpha essence begins to change Finn in ways he never could have imagined. While the possibility of starting a family fills him with pride, the fear of the unknown, of what it could do to Finn, fills him with dread.

One thing Luke knows for sure--there is no going back, not after finding Finn.
