Release Day Blast - Country Hearts
We're celebrating the release of Country Hearts by Cindi Madsen! This is a sweet cowboy romance from Hallmark Publishing that you won't want to miss!
Country Hearts by Cindi Madsen
January 21, 2020

She shouldn't get involved with the cowboy next door...

Laid off from her teaching job in the city, Jemma Monroe takes a job teaching in a tiny town and rents a house on the outskirts. A visitor soon shows up at her door—a horse. His owner, a handsome neighbor in boots and a cowboy hat, comes by to collect him.

When single dad Wyatt Langford meets Jemma, it’s the first time he feels interest in a woman since his wife left. But she’s his daughter’s new teacher, so they both know they should keep their distance.

Nonetheless, Wyatt keeps finding excuses to spend time with Jemma, and Wyatt’s daughter becomes more and more attached to her. With them, Jemma discovers the good things about country life, from starry skies to s’mores cooked over a fire. But she still misses her past life in the city. Is there any reason for them to dream of a future together?

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Jemma has an upheaval in the middle of the school year. Luckily she ends up in the most heavenly small town. When she meets her neighbor, she decides he must hate helping her.

Wyatt cannot believe how attracted to his daughter's teacher he is. He knows she should be off limits. She is not planning to stay, either. If he could just turn the attraction off enough to be just friends.....

This story just grabbed me from the start. The characters are witty, charming, and seriously attracted to one another! With this story, I eagerly turned the pages. Humor, surprises, and even bits of whimsy appeared.

Cindi Madsen is a USA Today bestselling author of contemporary romance and young adult novels. She sits at her computer every chance she gets, plotting, revising, and falling in love with her characters. Sometimes it makes her a crazy person. Without it, she'd be even crazier. She has way too many shoes, but can always find a reason to buy a pretty new pair, especially if they're sparkly, colorful, or super tall. She loves music and dancing and wishes summer lasted all year long. She lives in Colorado (where summer is most definitely NOT all year long) with her husband, three children, an overly-dramatic tomcat, & an adorable one-eyed kitty named Agent Fury.

A Cowboy Like You - Donna Grant

Danny Oldman, the handsome Lone Star sheriff, is still single. He tells himself, and anyone who asks, that he is married to his job—and what matters most is keeping the people of his beloved Texas hometown safe. The truth? Danny still hasn’t gotten over his high school crush. She moved away after graduation and took Danny’s heart with her. Skylar Long never thought she would have to flee Houston and return home—where it all began for her. But that’s what happened after the man of her dreams turned out to be an actual nightmare. Now, Skylar is desperate to escape her obsessive boyfriend. Nothing shocks her more than seeing Danny again and realizing that their long-ago attraction is more powerful than ever. But can she and Danny find a way to fight against Skylar’s wealthy, powerful ex who is dead set on tearing them apart?

This was a pretty decent book. I’ve read many of Donna Grant’s books, including all of the others in this series and usually love them all. Unfortunately, I had some problems with this one, mainly the premise/assumptions about who they were so long before in high school. It doesn’t deter how much I love this author’s writing though. I can’t wait to read more from her.

ARC REVIEW My One and Only Cowboy by A.J. Pine
My One and Only Cowboy (Meadow Valley, #1)Meadow Valley Ranch #1, A nice start to the series. A.J. Pine delivers yet another wonderful story. Sam Callahan his younger brother Ben and their friend Colt all chipped in and bought Meadow Valley Ranch a sort of B&B Ranch. Sam and Ben choose Meadow Valley, California because the close proximity to their Dad's care facility. After two years they are still trying to get into the black when Delaney Harper shows up saying her ex-husband forged her signature and sold the ranch without her permission. Delaney wasn't going to leave town until this got figured out but with the whole town being shut down for the festival she was stuck for over a week and then she crashed her car and ended up stranded at the ranch. Sam who was fascinated with her from the start offers that she stay at the ranch, not one to take advantage she offers to work in exchange. No stranger to hard work Delaney starts right in and she offers help with advertising at the festival she was able to give the guys ideas they hadn't thought of yet. Delaney is no stranger to the hospitality business either after growing up in her parents hotel in Las Vegas. Delaney had bigger dreams she went to school to be a vet tech and had originally bought the ranch to open up an animal rescue and saw that dream disappear when she found out the ranch had sold.

Sam and Delaney start off shaky but soon give into their sexual attraction. A steamy romance that also deals with Sam and Ben's relationship with their father and sets up what I hope is Ben's story. With a bit of action thrown into it at the end makes the whole story a nice read. Overall, well written with memorable characters and one very sweet dog.

I Just Love This Authors Characters
A Cowboy Never Quits - Cindi Madsen

Jessica is a young mother of a teenage daughter. She thinks her daughter is going down the wrong path, one she’s already been down. Jessica is a good mom and takes charge. She takes a job as a cook at a camp for troubled teens, that is known for turning them around. Unfortunately for the whole camp, she can’t cook at all. She tricked her way in, willing to bend the truth to save her daughter. Wade is the lead cowboy at the family run camp and he doesn’t trust her, his family hired her. Yes, he’s a hunk, a sweet sexy hunk in boots. Her exaggerations and his polite cowboy ways lead to a sweet fun romantic story.

I laughed so hard imagining these characters eating Jessica’s food. I may have looked disturbed. Warning don’t read this in public. :D

I just love Cindi Madsen’s characters, she always writes people I’d love to live next door to. I can’t help but care about them and that makes the story such a better experience.

Bravo Ms. Madsen, you did it again for this reader.

Fantastic Western Romance
A Cowboy Never Quits - Cindi Madsen

A Cowboy Never Quits is a fabulous western romance by Cindi Madsen. Ms. Madsen has given readers a well-written book. I love the characters in this story, they're awesome. Jessica's daughter has landed in trouble and she's determined to get her a place at Turn Around Ranch. So she takes the cook job at the ranch to secure her daughter a spot, the problem is, she can't cook. Wade runs the ranch but the family votes on important issues. Wade was outvoted. Jessica and Wade's story is packed with drama, humor, spice and is a fun read. I enjoyed reading this book and look forward to reading more from Cindi Madsen in the future. A Cowboy Never Quits is book 1 of the Turn Around Ranch Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
