Shifters of Shadow Falls
Dragon's Heat - Crystal L. Shaw

I am loving the Shifters of Shadow Falls world, while this book can be read as a standalone I truly feel to get the most out of it you will want to read the entire series in order. I love that you can bounce back and forth with series and standalone but since some characters from the books prior to this one are mentioned in this you will want to know their background as well. That being said, you can not go wrong with this book if you enjoy a good Dragon Shifter story.

Drago and his brothers are living a sheltered life in their castle but with everything going on in Shadow Falls their peace is starting to look like its a thing of the past. Each of the brothers need an heir to carry on their breed but since none of them have a mate its not looking good. But when Kara is brought to the castle Drago feels the pull of his mate, even though she is human if she is strong enough and a true mate she will produce and heir. Does she feel it too? Will this interspecies relationship work out? Will the Dom in Drago be to much for Kara to handle? All of those questions will be answered along with many others in this hot little read.

Dragon's Heat (Shifters of Shadow Falls, #6) by Crystal L. Shaw

I cannot wait for Isabella and Galen's story in Dragon's Spell, I really hope it will be out soon because I have sooooo many questions that need to be answered about these two!

Smokin' quick read
Burning for the Dragon: BBW Dragon Shifter Paranormal Romance (Fated Hearts Club Book 1) - Cecilia Lane
This was a hot little read, I really enjoyed the story of Penelope and Luca. Action packed and steamy sex scenes, who could ask for more, in fact I have added the rest of the series to my TBR shelf and I look forward to reading more of Cecilia Lane's work.

Luca has become the Heir Apparent now that his older brother Leo has been killed and his parents are pushing him to find a mate or they will find one for him. Not wanting his parents to find someone for him he goes to the Fated Hearts club where he meets Penelope, there is an instant connection between the two and I loved their quirky banter while having drinks. This story involves a truly crazed ex-girlfriend that has big aspirations and she doesn't like that Penelope may come between her and her dreams.

I have read this story as part of Shifted Sheets Presents: Merry Shiftmas: A 9 Book Paranormal Collection

A dragon boxset....
SHIFTER: Let There Be Dragons (Paranormal BBW Dragon Shifter Romance Box Set) - Catherine Vale

I originally read these books when they first came out, but loved re-reading them in Catherine Vale's Dragon Boxset.

Kiss of Fire...
Oh my goodness Catherine, I couldn't put 'Kiss of Fire' down!! I had something else I wanted to get done this morning, but picked up my ereader for a bit, but ended up finishing the book. I loved how the book started, how the story progressed, how we learnt the facts, the history, legends & accents.... I just LOVED it!! I was quickly lost within the story wishing for my own Scottish Craig & Castle Nathair. There was just something that drew me in once I started reading this book, it kept me captivated & yearning to read the next sentence, page, chapter... just to find out what was to come next. Then I was finished & what an ending, the last few chapters kept me in suspense & it wasn't until the last chapter that I was able to breathe properly again.

Shades of Dragon...
Another book of Catherine's that I couldn't put down, from start to finish. I loved reading about Tegan's beginning, although it was quite distressing, I enjoyed how Tegan first met & became a part of the Redwater Clan. Then years later when things become uneasy within the clan, how Tegan is thrust forward to not only help his clan but also the human's within their protection. That's when the action within the story starts, AMAZING, it kept me captivated & I couldn't put it down.

Burn, Baby, Burn...
WOW, I was quickly drawn into 'Burn Baby Burn'... loving everything within this new story from Catherine Vale. 'Burn Baby Burn' is book 3 in Catherine's "Order of Protection" series, I do recommend you read book 1 'Bear Meets Girl' & 2 'Broken Moon' before starting this book, but you don't need to too understand whats occurring.
On her way home Adalyn feels the need to fly through New York & soon finds herself hurtling towards the ground, she soon finds herself in a human bar. Christian is drowning his sorrows at a bar, when he senses the lovely Adalyn entering, soon they find themselves at Christian's appartment... but waking alone the next morning he feels like he'll never see Adalyn again....
What an adventure Adalyn & Christian go on, all to get their flying power back, such an action packed, intense read, keeping me enthralled from start to finish.

Too often in Paranormal Romance only the heroes get to be Super.

Here are some wonderful Romance Novels where the heroines breathe fire!

My lists are never in any particular order. Enjoy!

1. The Smoke Thief by Shana Abe

For centuries they’ve lived in secret among northern England’s green and misted hills. Creatures of extraordinary beauty, power, and sensuality, they possess the ability to shape-shift from human to dragon and back again. Now their secret–and their survival–is threatened by a temptation that will break every boundary....

Dubbed the Smoke Thief, a daring jewel thief is confounding the London police. His wealthy victims claim the master burglar can walk through walls and vanish into thin air. But Christoff, the charismatic Marquess of Langford, knows the truth: the thief is no ordinary human but a “runner” who’s fled Darkfrith without permission. As Alpha leader of the dra´kon, it’s Kit’s duty to capture the fugitive before the secrets of the tribe are revealed to mortals. But not even Kit suspects that the Smoke Thief could be a woman.

Clarissa Rue Hawthorne knew her dangerous exploits would attract the attention of the dra´kon. But she didn’t expect Christoff himself to come to London, dangling the tribe’s most valuable jewel–the Langford Diamond–as bait. For as long as she could remember, Rue had lived the life of a halfling–half dra´kon, half mortal–and an outcast in both worlds. She’d always loved the handsome and willful Kit from the only place it was safe: from afar. But now she was no longer the shy, timid girl she’d once been. She was the first woman capable of making the Turn in four generations. So why did she still feel the same dizzying sense of vulnerability whenever he was near?

From the moment he saw her, Kit knew that the alluring and powerful beauty was every bit his Alpha equal and destined to be his bride. And by the harsh laws of the dra´kon, Rue knew that she was the property of the marquess. But they will risk banishment and worse for a chance at something greater. For now Rue is his prisoner, the diamond has disappeared, and she’s made the kind of dangerous proposition a man like Kit cannot resist...

2. The Dragon's Queen by Michelle M. Pillow

Mede of the Draig knows three things for a fact: As the only female dragonshifter of her people, she is special. She can kick the backside of any man. And she absolutely doesn’t want to marry.

Mede has spent a lifetime trying to prove she’s as strong as any male warrior. Unfortunately, being the special, rare creature she is, she’s been claimed as the future bride to nearly three dozen Draig—each one confident that when they come for her hand in marriage, fate will choose them. When the men aren’t bragging about how they’re going to marry her, they’re acting like she’s a delicate rare flower in need of their protection.

But Mede is far from a shrinking solarflower.

Prince Llyr of the Draig knows four things for a fact: He is the future king of the dragonshifters. He must act honorably in all ways. He absolutely, positively is meant to marry Lady Mede. And she is dead set against marriage.

Llyr’s fate rests in the hands of a woman determined not to have any man. With a new threat emerging amongst their catshifting neighbors, a threat whose eyes are focused firmly on Mede, time may be running out. It is up to him to convince her to be his dragon queen.

3. Love in the Time of Dragons by Katie Macalister

Tully Sullivan is just like any other suburban mom-except she's just woken up in a strange place surrounded by strange people who keep insisting that they're dragons-and that she's one too.

4. Dragon on Top by G.A. Aiken

am Ghleanna the Decimator. I am a warrior. A soldier. I know no fear. No pain. No mercy. I do, however, know acute embarrassment! How could I not after getting dumped by a bastard dragon in front of my own troops? So I tuck tail and return to my cave, drowning my sorrows in ale—as is my family’s way. But instead of leaving me to my misery, I’ve been summoned to the Dragon Queen’s court.

As if my life wasn’t pathetic enough, Her Majesty now has me escorting the highborn Bram the Merciful through dangerous territories—not exactly the best use of my military training. And just so he can negotiate with enemy dragons instead of battling them? Honestly, what has my world come to? Then again…Bram is quite easy on the eyes. And the perfect distraction for what ails me. Perhaps I’m looking at all this the wrong way. Maybe there is a place for a little “mercy” in my life…

5. Wildfire by Mina Khan

Lynn Hana Alexander is a 25-year-old Japanese American shape-shifter haunted by guilt. She’s been questioning herself and her dragon abilities ever since she failed to save her grandmother.

When her best friend is threatened by mysterious fires burning up acres of West Texas, Lynn rushes to the rescue determined not to fail again. However, with a tempting firefighter, a flirty city developer and dragon pheromones distracting her, how is she going to find the arsonist?

And worse: is her primary suspect a malicious rogue dragon or the love of her life?

6. Axman Werebear by T. S. Joyce

Arranged marriage, hidden agendas, deep secrets, and heart-pounding romance come together to tell Bruiser’s story in the 5th installment of T. S. Joyce’s bestselling Saw Bears series.

Diem Daye has led a sheltered life. As the only breeding female of her kind, her father has kept her tucked away and heavily guarded. But when he makes a deal behind her back, and marries her off to a local lumberjack werebear, she fights everything that is expected of her. As the dust settles and she begins to realize just how special her arranged union to Bruiser Keller is, she’ll have to decide to make the ultimate sacrifice for her kind, or live and love in the safety of her new mate’s protection.

Bruiser made a deal with a legendary shifter to save his family, but the consequences run deep when he returns home to the Asheland Mobile Park. Now he must marry a woman he’s never met, and if Diem’s pissed off countenance is anything to go by, she doesn’t want this pairing any more than he does. Bruiser vows to soften her hardened heart, but her secrets could bring danger to his beloved Ashe Crew, and could alter the course of his life forever.

Love comes at a cost for shifters like Bruiser and Diem. If they want a real shot at happiness, they’ll have to learn how to survive each other.

7. Artistic Vision by Dana Marie Bell

Akane Russo, one of the Hob’s top Blades, can’t wait for her current assignment to end. She’s been tasked with protecting Shane Dunne from the Malmayne clan’s scheme to kidnap him once again. But no one—not even her Seer half—warned her she’d have to protect herself from his heated gaze. Or that her dragon half would find him an irresistible puzzle.

Shane knew his destined bride would never come to him willingly, but she’s stuck with him and he plans to use her predicament to his advantage. It’s only a matter of time before she succumbs to what they both want. Their Claiming will be beautiful beyond even his wildest imaginings—and his wild, free dragoness will finally see herself as he sees her.

Then his unique, hybrid-borne visions reveal a new danger. The prophecy of the Child of Dunne can only be fulfilled down a path he must travel alone. To a place so dark and dangerous that even his truebond’s flame may not be bright enough to lead him home.

8. Bloodfire by Helen Harper

Mackenzie Smith has always known that she was different. Growing up as the only human in a pack of rural shapeshifters will do that to you, but then couple it with some mean fighting skills and a fiery temper and you end up with a woman that few will dare to cross. However, when the only father figure in her life is brutally murdered, and the dangerous Brethren with their predatory Lord Alpha come to investigate, Mack has to not only ensure the physical safety of her adopted family by hiding her apparent humanity, she also has to seek the blood-soaked vengeance that she craves.

9. Must Love Dragons by Stephanie Rowe

Theresa Nichols, still stuck in dragon form, acts as interim Guardian of the Goblet. Knowing that she'll freak out the people of Manhattan if she leaves her apartment, Theresa entertains herself by having cybersex with a guy named Zeke. But now Zeke wants to meet her. Theresa wants to meet him, too, but in her present form, this is impossible, and she'll do anything, short of selling her soul to Satan, to regain her human body. Zeke Siccardi is equally determined. Now a private detective, this immortal is ready to put his bloody past as a dragonslayer behind him and become part of the modern world.

10. Flying Blind by Deborah Cooke

Zoë Sorensson is a perfectly normal teenage girl. That’s the problem. She’s always been told she’s destined for great things – she is a dragon shape shifter, a Pyr, and the only female one of her kind. But Zoë’s powers are AWOL, so she's sent to Pyr boot camp.

Zoë quickly realizes that she has to master her powers yesterday, because the Pyr are in danger and boot camp is a trap. The Mages want to eliminate all shifters and the Pyr are next in line -unless Zoë and her friends can work together and save their own kind.

Do you have another Dragoness for me? Yea!

There be sexy dragons here!
Double Dragons: BBW Paranormal Romance (Dragons of New York Book 1) - Terry Bolryder

*Book source ~ Kindle Lending Library

Melissa usually stayed late in the library where she worked. She had no family and no close friends, so she preferred to read her beloved books rather than go home. Except, one night, she heard what sounded like a kidnapping outside and despite not being a physically imposing threat, she confronted the group of men outside. Brave or stupid? She only knows she couldn’t let something happen to the girl without trying to save her. Luckily for Melissa two men showed up to take the kidnappers down. Now these men, these gorgeous sexy men, want her for their mate. And she needs to make a choice. Brave or stupid?

This is one sexy hot read. Well-written and decently built for the short length, I would still like more info about the dragon world and the world of shifters in general. The chemistry between all three is off the charts hot, the switching POVs satisfies in a big way and the characters have enough development to be larger-than-life. As advertised it is a standalone, but that doesn’t mean I don’t want more of Draven, Ran and Melissa’s story. I hope to see them in future books. This new-to-me-author is one I’m going to revisit again. And again.
