Good Story and Characters
Anything More Than Now (Sutton College Book 2) - Rebecca Paula

Noah has loved Reagan for about four years even when she was still his best friends girl. He saw her the first time outside of the library in the rain. He  couldn’t do anything because of the bro code. Also they still live in the same house even though Beau - Noah’s best friend- has moved on and has a new girl. Then one drunken night and the lines start to blur between Reagan and Noah. Reagan’s dream is to get into publishing in NYC. Reagan had a troubling past and Noah had been scarred by sadness and trouble in his past.

I really liked this story even brought tears to my eyes at times. The twists and turns of the story itself kept you glued to it. Then might have a chance with Reagan after all that time. I loved the characters also especially Noah and Reagan . Noah so true to his feelings even if he doesn’t know how to approach Reagan. Reagan comes across cold hearted but is only a defense to protect herself from being hurt. I loved the twists  and turns Noah and Reagan went through. I recommend.

I received an ARC of this story for an honest review.

quote 2015-05-12 11:43
“Beau never stays within the lines. He’s not just my roommate, he moves through Portland as if it’s his city, as though all the people at this party are his best friends, as if he invented beer pong, even. He’s that drop of water that runs and seeps into the paper, smearing the other watercolors until they’ve run wild as well.”

Love is full of surprises
Between Everything And Us (Sutton College Book 1) - Rebecca Paula

Beau and Matisse meet because they end up roommates in the same house.  Instantly attracted to one another, they try to avoid each other.  There is even a house rule, that no drama can happen including dating among roommates.

Beau and Mati become friends and hang out anyway.  They have real feelings and genuinely like each other.  Beau has many secrets that he hides, and is not sure he should tell her.  There is so much she does not know.

Mati is trying to be good at everything.  She is the only child of older parents.  They expect perfection and she usually performs like a good little soldier.  Now, after moving all the way across country to Portland, OR from Maine, she feels like there is breathing room.  Maybe just a little anyway.

One night Mati gets very sick and Beau comes to rescue her.  He stays with her in the hospital and takes care of her when they get home.  Then he ends up with the illness also.  They tend to one another since the house is empty for break.

From this a serious closeness and friendship blooms.  The friends they were are stronger and closer.  They even share a kiss.  I found this book to be amazing and hard to put down!  I loved the character development and the surprises in store for the reader!  I give this book a 5/5 Kitty's Paws UP!
