"The Stolen Marriage" by Diane Chamberlain

My Thoughts....

Indeed this was quite a interesting gripping historical romance story that this author gives the reader.  We find Tess DeMello from Baltimore, Maryland around 1943 was once engaged to Vincent Russo [M.D.] but breaks off that engagement and marries a complete stranger named Henry Kraft who was from Hickory, North Carolina. Now, why did she choose a loveless marriage?  Whose marriage was stolen?  I liked how this author was able to weave the polio epidemic which was first being treated around that time into this story even making it even more interesting to read and in doing so bringing Tess's former fiance back into the picture.  This was quite a compelling historical fiction that you will have to pick up and see for yourself how well this author brings it all out to the reader.  Will this medical doctor and registered nurse be able to get back together again?  The story offers 'love, loss, race, marriage, secrets,  tragedy and redemption.'  This author does a wonderful job with the main character Tess giving the reader a roller coaster ride full with her emotions and thoughts along with her husband, Henry who was a well respected businessman but very secretive. I don't want to leave out Henry's mother Ruth and his sister Lucy who both had their own agendas in this well told story.  The story even had a little paranormal [conversing with the dead] with the Reverend Sam along with some other host of characters...Hattie, Honor, Adora, Zeke and Jilly and a host of other people in the town. Be ready for some twist and turns that you may not see coming along with a epilogue of ten years later. I was still left with a few questions however it was a enjoyable read, for  it was also a long captivating read that you will have to stay on top of it because there will be so much going on. to see if there will be a HEA.

"Stolen Moments" by S.I. Hayes & J. Haney

My Thoughts...

These two authors[ S.I Hayes & J. Haney] have given the readers a well written series['A County Fair Romance Book 1 in 'Stolen Moments'] that flows together so well definitely keeping you turning the pages. All I can say is that they did a wonderful job in their collaboration giving the reader a good read. Truly, this was a beautiful romantic story that features Fallon Justine Hopkins and Justin Allen Blackthorne. What will happen when this feisty and sexy lady meet a handsome and sexy guy?

With these two main characters add the secondary ones and the reader will get a well developed, portrayed and believable read that will carry you through this wonderful story. Be ready for lots of 'emotions....from sadness, happiness, anger, excitement, worry, anxiety' to family drama that will at times have you even laughing at some of the antics of the read.

What will happen as this tattooed city boy who was running from his past drifts into their lives and meets up with the this twenty three year old country girl who had stepped into her mother's role in helping her brothers as well as her father? What will happen when that seems to fall apart and a big secret will come out? I liked how these author's brought out the over protectiveness that was showed by the brothers and even the father. After all is said and done will this family be able to pick themselves up and put things back together again a certain incident happens? Will Justin and Fallon finally achieve a HEA? Well, to get all of these questions answered and a lot more the reader will have to pick up 'Stolen Moments' and see how these two authors bring it all out so well to the readers. After the reader finishes with this series Book 1...let's go on to the next series...A County Fair Romance Book 2 in 'Winter Kisses' where we will get more from Justin and Fallon.

My Thoughts....

I loved it! What a interesting role play this was for Ella and Neil. Be ready for a short wonderful read that's full of 'passion' that is one hot sexy read. Will Ella and Neil get all that they needed from each other? Well, you will just have to pick up this sexual story to see how it all comes out. Do you think Ella will make it home in time to make dinner for her family?

Stolen Magic
Stolen Magic - Gail Carson Levine

I’m pretty indifferent about this one. It’s fine–a middle grade fantasy/mystery, with an emphasis on the mystery. But while I didn’t mind reading it (I did finish, after all) I also wasn’t really excited about it. (But then I’m also probably unfairly comparing this one to Ella Enchanted.)
