In an attempt to break away from my privileged, suffocating life, I was in pursuit of finding my own path to happiness. After my literary agent gave me a risky writing assignment, I set out to write a best-seller that took me completely out of my comfort zone and into the arms of another man. He was only supposed to be a research toy, falling in love wasn’t a part of the plan. As I become tangled into a huge web of lies, I quickly find out that I have a life changing decision to make. Do I choose to continue living a life of comfort, stability, and misery or do I take a chance on the unknown to preserve my happiness?

Author Bio:

Victoria Bright is from a small town in North Carolina and currently resides in Greenville, South Carolina. She has been writing since she was in the eighth grade, starting with small short stories. As her classmates began showing interest in her work, she began to write longer stories, filling multiple spiral notebooks with her thoughts. During her freshman year in high school, her English teacher encouraged her to enter a writing contest in which she won local, region and state levels. She has entered many writing contests since and have won a few. Figuring out she had a passion to share stories with anyone who would listen, she set out to write her first book Love Unbroken.

Victoria is very versatile in the genre of books she likes to read. Her book choice mostly varies on her mood, but she is particularly interested in crime stories, romance, teen fiction, sci-fi, and is now venturing a little in paranormal fiction. As for her own writing, she doesn't really put it into a category or genre. She just writes whatever is on her mind and lets it create itself!

1.  I heard you have a love for the Camaro.  Are you only a fan of this one car - or all muscle cars of a certain era?

At first I had an obsession with Mustangs made in 2005 on up. But then I saw Transformers for the first time and it was love at first sight for Bumblebee and I lol. I relate Camaros to autobots, which I think are cool, so it makes me crazy about them. I always joke around and say that I want a Camaro that’s secretly an autobot so I can run around the city dodging decepticons and saving the planet. But in all seriousness, I really do want a Camaro. They’re super sexy!

2.  You write books full of such humor and honesty.  Are you like this in person or do you keep the "funny side" of yourself just for writing?

I’m definitely that way in person. In fact, my sense of humor gets me in trouble more often than not because I find myself laughing/joking about things that I probably shouldn’t lol. I just put different parts of myself into my books to make it easier to write. If I can’t relate to it, I can’t expect a reader to!

3.  Your books are full of characters we can all "relate" to.  Do your friends come to you for advice about their problems?  You seem to have a good grasp on the human being as a whole.

They do actually. I just turned 24 on March 9^th, so I’m like the youngest out of all of my friends. I like to think I’m pretty mature for my age (disregard my habit of being a complete LOON at times). But they usually ask for my advice/opinion because I’m very blunt. There’s no beating around the bush or sugar coating things with me! Honesty is the best policy (is that how that saying goes?)!

4.  This book - "The Daring Assignment" is about a struggling romance author.  Is she a lot like you? Are there personality quirks/traits that just would make us think there is a hidden Victoria inside?

It is. The Daring Assignment actually came about because my best friend was always bugging me about writing an erotica. She claimed that it was what was popular and it could possibly make me a best seller. So I decided to write a story about a prude romance author (such as myself) who is assigned to write an erotica (like I was) and ends up finding herself and figuring out what she’s been missing in her life. I didn’t have those wild experiences as she did (those were all from imagination, but once I find my own Zane…sweet baby Jesus in a baby swing…), but everything else like her feeling stuck in her life, unhappy, lonely, etc. were things I’ve felt before.

5.  Your books have your fans excited in more ways than one. Your fans always want to know where you get some of the ideas for your books.  Did you already have a previous list you were getting through?  Is real life a charm that inspires?  Just curious how your mind works, since your books are so darn amazing!

I’m very spontaneous. I can’t sit down and plan books; things just happen. My attention span is all over the place, so sometimes I can grab inspiration from just passing something on the street or seeing something on tv or the Internet. Sometimes I pull inspiration from real life things, but most of it is just from my loonish, unpredictable imagination. This doesn’t make me crazy though, right?
