SUNSET by Erin Hunter
Sunset - Erin Hunter
Ending of series 2 in the Warriors series.  Some of the story lines are ended but others open up here.  The clans are adjusting to their new homes with the usual fights over borders and Two Legs interfering with the clans' lands.  Leafpaw is getting many visions.  Which are true?  Which are hers?  The prophecy comes true.  But who is the traitor now?  Does Leafpaw confront some of the others or not?

I like this series.  I hope my questions get answered in series 3.  I think I know the answers to my questions but I want confirmation of those answers.  This is a good ending of series 2 and sets up series 3.  Excellent world building.

STARLIGHT by Erin Hunter
Starlight - Erin Hunter

Book 4 of series 2 of the Warriors series has the clans finding new homes for themselves. While there are questions of StarClan's approval of the new land, each clan claims a part of the new land. Fighting over the territories becomes hard because the clans are used to working together but for some it is easy to go back to the old hostilities. Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw have their problems to work out while Leafpaw struggles with her feelings for Cloudfeather and his for her.

I like how the clans worked together and still, in some ways, continue to do so. Firestar is still the leader amongst leaders regardless of how other leaders want to go back to the old hostilities. But the younger generation is coming into their own. It will be interesting to see who becomes leaders and who turn traitor.

MOONRISE by Erin Hunter
Moonrise - Erin Hunter
The cats now have to return home to tell the message they must bring to the Clans. As they journey home, they meet a Tribe where they learn more hunting techniques and the importance of working together. Meanwhile, the Clans have to deal with the Twolegs destroying more of their territories.

I enjoyed this book. I liked the interactions between the travelers and the Tribe and how they learned new things and realized that there is more than just them in the world. There was the edge of the seat thrills and action. I still have questions about a whole lot of things especially Leafpaw and her promise. I look forward to reading the next book.

MIDNIGHT by Erin Hunter
Midnight by Hunter, Erin [HarperCollins, 2005] Hardcover [Hardcover] - Hunter

A new series in the Warriors series has Brambleclaw receiving a dream from Star Clan.  He along with 3 other cats have received the dream.  What does it mean?  Why are the medicine cats not receiving the dreams?

I liked this story.  It starts off about a year after the first series ends.  We are now just about on the second generation since Firestar has become the leader of Thunder Clan.  Brambleclaw has to determine what his dream means and how the other cats fit in.  They must work together and travel to Midnight.  I like this group of cats.  We still have Firestar and his generation as well as a few elders but this next generation looks like it might change things up in the status quo.  I liked the Yoda-like character that appears.  I am anxiously waiting to see me niece to get the second book in this series.
