Loving this
All-New Wolverine (2015-2018) #22 - Leinil Francis Yu,Barbara Taylor Bradford

So behind that it's from May 8th.   General anxiety, anxiety about my fellow Jews, depression, and stress have made it hard for me to really function, and either read or review for large swathes of time.

Tom Taylor's Gabby is brilliant: innocent and hiarlious, full of heart and warmth while she's threatening anyone who wants to hurt her or her family.

Far superior to the movie version of Gabby, although I'd been hoping she'd be another clone - this time of Laura Kinney, aka X-23 from the Logan movie and comics.

Nope
Hunt For Wolverine #1 - Charles Soule,David Marquez,Steve McNiven

Another miss for me in Marvel-land.   I used to lap everything up, and now not so much.   This is another huge event, and events are burning me out.   Not to mention, I lost my appetite for everything Wolverine when they killed him off, and I'm not into his supposedly huge return.

I did like some of this, like how they protected Wolverine's remains, which they knew would be a prize for many a super villain or mad scientist who could do so many awful things with them.   But, still meh on this all.

The fact that Wade and Gabby are described as best friends?
All-New Wolverine (2015-2018) #31 - Tom Taylor,Marco Failla,David Lopez

That is just the best.   And even better is watching them do best friend things together: infiltrate the lab where Gabby's pet wolverine was experimented on, face down the horrors of animal testing and what comes from that, and then burning that all down to the ground.

Fun times.   If you're Honey Badger and Deadpool.

And seriously?  I didn't follow this series, so I didn't realize that Gabby was Honey Badger. Sighs.   I'm not sure I'm okay with that name, but Gabby herself remains awesome.

24 Festive Tasks - Dia de los Muertos Book
All-New Wolverine Vol. 5: Orphans of X - Tom Taylor,Juan Cabal

Book: Re-read an old favorite from a now-deceased author, a book from a finished (dead) series, or a book set in Mexico.

The All-New Wolverine series ended earlier this year with book 6 making this a "dead" series now. I'm using book 5 in the series to claim this day.

REVIEW BY MERISSA - Wolverine's Daughter (Wolverine's Daughter #1) by Doranna Durgin
Wolverine's Daughter - Doranna Durgin
This is a fantasy of old style story telling and classic witchcraft and wizardry. Although it was a slow starter, I stuck with it and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Kelyn is a wonderful mixture of boldness, sass, with a strong sense of right and wrong. There is a comment made in the book that although she never goes looking for trouble, trouble always seems to find her! She sets off from home on a journey of discovery, both to find her father and to find herself. With mishaps, battles, friendships and sorrow along the way.

This is a wonderful book that follows along the lines of sword and sorcery and an epic storyline.
