24 Festive Task - Door 9: World Philosophy Day (Task 4)

Task 4: Did you love or hate the books you had to read for school? Looking back, which ones (good or bad) stand out to you the most?

I do not recall really having to read any books for school. There was one that I did read in school or was assigned and it was good. I just do not recall what it was and it might have been in Middle school when I read it. None really in High school. I do recall the Beowulf was in my senior year of English class and we ended up reading in class rather then having to read it ourselves at home. It was hard to read or understand. I do not really care for it.

I have read other books. I do have favorite books i did read while in school though but i did not have to read read them for school. The Little House on Prairie by Laura Ingalls Wilder.

24 Festive Task - Door 9: World Philosophy Day (Task 3)

Task 3: How do you stay zen / sane over the holidays or in other stressful periods?

I keep sane over the holiday by reading and listening to music. If those are striking my mood I will play a video game. This is what I do for stressful periods as well. I love it when the radio is playing Christmas music as this help during last two weeks of November and Most of December or at least until December 26.

24 Festive Task - Door 9: World Philosophy Day (Task 2)

Task 2: Share your reviewing philosophy with us – how do you rate a book? Do you have a mental template for reviewing? Rules you try to follow, or rules you try to break?

My reviewing philosophy is really simple. I rate books from 1 to 5 stars in the form of (moons). If a book is 4.5 stars it would still get a 4 Moons as I have not made any with half moons rating picks. Though it is could be a 5 stars but it it did not reach it that high for me. so my ratings are as followed:

1 Moon (Stars)

2 Moons (Stars)

3 Moons (Stars)

4 Moons (Stars)

5 Moons (Stars)

24 Festive Task - Door 9: World Philosophy Day (Task 1)

Task 1:  Share your reading philosophy with us – do you DNF? If so, do you have a page minimum to read before you declare it a DNF?

My reading Philosophy is simple. I will read mostly all books, i get. If it not one I am in the mood to read a book I will just put it side for when I am. Most of my books are book that I am being requested to read so I will need to read them at some point. They all are review books. Book tours will come first of the books I am reading unless I am in the middle of a book I am enjoying and then I will pick up the book Tour book.

I do not DNF, Though I think I may start this if it gets to boring or I just can not read it any longer then I will have to come up with how long and if there minimum of a page #. I have books to still read from past years and this year.
