I'm sorry, but if I see one more comment from someone that "my stuff is just fine, I don't know what everyone's problem is!" I think I'll explode. Suffice it to say, some of us are experiencing some SERIOUS functional issues. What, you think we're lying? It's really not helpful; it's insulting and actually a direct slap in the face. Just be glad you're up and running fine and hold on to it, quietly, thx; you're very lucky.
Telling people without issues to be quiet and just enjoy their good fortune is counter-productive. By stifling comments from people without issues, you’ve only hurt your own cause. You've reduced the amount of incoming information that could be used for troubleshooting. In a friendly, productive online community, people post freely about whether or not they’re experiencing a reported issue and then provide relevant info about their situation. When people reply that they aren’t having the same issues, it is not a personal attack and it is not an attempt to tell you that you aren’t having issues. In fact, it seems rather thoughtful of somebody to take the time to post about an issue that doesn’t directly impact them. When I have an issue, I much prefer counter-examples to indifference. At least they're interested.
Computer-related problems are rarely simple. The site developer can’t just flip a switch and fix the problem. More often than not, the hard part is figuring out what is
causing the problem. You can’t solve the problem if you don’t know the cause. Some people will have the issue, some people won’t, and it might be a specific combination of steps, software, and/or system settings that are responsible for the issue. Figuring it all out usually involves knowing both what isn’t working and what
is working. Telling people not to post is a great way to slow down progress toward fixing the issues you’re having. Maybe not all of those posts will be helpful, but more often than not those people are just trying to help. If you’re all out of honey, at least avoid using the vinegar and just let them be.
You may now proceed to freak out at me. Unlike the other people I’ve seen you freak out at, my post actually
is intentionally snippy. So at least it will be justified in this case, even if it isn’t productive. :)

I do not deny that it is frustrating when you have problems with a site. I do not claim that what works for me should work for everybody else. I do not claim that my methods are superior to everybody else’s. I am not proposing that everybody with problems start changing the way they do things.
