Hello, thank you so much for all your remarks, they mean a lot and we're always open to all kind of suggestions and feedback.
Also, we've just sent you an e-mail message with some more information for authors on BL, hope you don't mind :)

Hi Alchemy, I don’t know if this will help, because I personally don’t use the batch edit process on either Goodreads or BookLikes, but it is possible to get a table of your books so you can edit them a little more efficiently. I’m just not sure if it works the way you’re used to on Goodreads or not.

When you go to your Shelves, look for the small icons in the top-right corner. Your second-from-the-right icon is the normal shelf view, and is probably green because it’s selected. The icon to the left of that is the one that puts it in a table format.

Like YouKneeK says.

If having trouble spotting or clicking the table view icon she mentioned, the direct URL is http://booklikes.com/shelf/table

If having trouble getting to your shelves (the equivalent of goodreads' "My Books"), from booklikes Dashboard click in upper left to change "Dashboard" to "Shelf." If unable to spot that or if clicking doesn't work, that direct URL is http://booklikes.com/shelf

The gear icon far right in shelf view (versus dashboard view) has additional options and settings. Direct URL for that is http://booklikes.com/shelf/edit-shelves

Unlike the way-too-limited goodreads My Books feature, you have lots of shelf options here including specifying private (visible only to you shelves), which shelves are wishlist, ... more choices in what types of posts you make (beyond goodreads reviews and their wimpy "general status updates" limiting you to a certain number of text-only characters), better HTML support in posts, the ability to tag posts with keywords so booklikers can follow or search by keywords/tags, the ability to schedule when your posts hit dashboard (really good if reviewing arcs that request review hits on a certain date) ...

Your booklikes dashboard (think goodreads updates feed) gets more active as you follow more booklikers and more social as you engage in he comments on individual posts, participate in the tagged games and challenges (click tags at bottom of posts to see others with same tags/games and don't forget to add tags to your own posts, some recent tags include booklikes-opoly , readathon, challenge)...

Maybe change "Dashboard" view to "Explore" view (URL is http://booklikes.com/explore ) to find more to follow.

Change Dashboard view to Book Catalog view to explore recent reviews by genre (URL is http://booklikes.com/catalog to find more folk to follow.

Maybe browse back through the official booklikes posts at http://blog.booklikes.com/ for tips and features to checkout when new to booklikes. Play with features and menu options in your posts—just "save as draft" and only you will be able to see them by previewing while creating or by changing Dashboard view to Blog view and looking at your drafts. (Boy did we wish for draft option on goodreads.)

Look at the book pages of your favorite or most hated reads at the community reviews for currently active booklikers who share your tastes ... if something is lacking on book page compared to goodreads or your book-in-hand, click "edit" or "report" to send your changes/corrections/additions to the booklikes librarians. Booklikes in its current incarnation is a newer site with a younger book database than goodreads so has not had the same years of community edits by librarians (on the other hand many goodreads members and librarians have fled here and are working on it diligently -- we grew goodreads book data to more than just what is currently fur sale on Amazon and can grow booklikes book data the same).

Have you already imported your goodreads "my books" and reviews? Over on goodreads, under "My Books" scroll down to import/export choice to create the export file then on booklikes import that file . Change dashboard view to settings view (URL is http://booklikes.com/settings ) then the import tab (URL is http://booklikes.com/settings/shelf ).

@ Alchemy of Love Mindfulness by Nuit - There's a group here on BL where you can ask questions about BL, or find aggregated lists of 'how to' posts that BL users have created over time. You might find some useful stuff there (although nothing specific to authors). It's a work in progress. :)
