There's a widget - I believe - thing where up on my toolbar it says Shelve it! When I get to a book I want to shelve on Amazon, I use the Shelve it! button and it imports all the information to BL.

That's one of the easiest things for us to fix if we know the title and author. Not as easy as it would be if we had decent librarian tools, but easy. :) Just let one of us know or file a 'report it' thing.

What Grim said, although it can be used with varying degrees of success on other book sites too.
You can find the widget on your BL book shelf page: next to the pull down menu for how many books to display per page is a book icon - drag that to your browser's bookmark bar. Hovering over the "i" lists which sites it's compatible with (all Amazon owned, but I think I've had it work with other sites too... iirc).

Thanks. According to the "i", it's useless for me. Kind of afraid to test it.

If it doesn't work it doesn't do anything. :)

This is actually not quite true. It fails to import anything from Comixology, which Amazon owns, and the few comic issues that I add are from Comixology but not on Amazon. (The Infinite/digital only/digitally formatted only ones.)

Sorry, I wasn't quite clear; I meant all the names in their compatibility list are Amazon owned. I should have written that a bit better.

And not all Amazons are compatible. Or I'm using it wrong.
Maybe this isn't the right place to ask this question, but since it looks like there are people here with answers. . . . .
I just added another edition to a book that's already listed. I own the book, so I was able to scan the cover and reduce it to a size BL would accept. But it's a book club edition, so there's no ISBN, nor is there a place to identify it as such.
I tried to provide as much info as I could, but I'm not sure where to go to ask if I did it right, or where I should input any additional information.

I'll check it out, but I'm sure it'll be good - book in hand is the best source, always. :)
ETA: Record is perfect. The only thing I changed before approving it was appending a note to the beginning of the description to say it's a BCE with no isbn, so nobody comes through and mistakenly merges it later on (like me, lol).

Hmm... there is a pinned group in the Official BL group, but I don't know how they did that; maybe only from the backend, which would be monumentally stupid.
HA! I found it - but I think you have to be both the creator of the group and/or creator of the thread? I tried it in the book swap group, where I'm a moderator, and couldn't see any way to do it. But when I went into my super-secret test group, which I created, and went into a discussion, there was a "stick/unstick" button up at the top, next to "delete discussion".
So maybe it's something only MM can do as the creator of this group?
