Thank you! We needed a central location for the how to questions.

I'm having the same problem. There used to be edit and delete buttons but they seem to have disappeared. Someone suggested that the problem stemmed from using a tablet but that's what I've always used.
On a tablet you have to touch the heading and then hit open from the options which appear.

The edit button at the top of a page only shows if you open each blog post that you want to edit in a separate browser window first -- at least if you want to access it from your own blog. Also, I don't think that method works for blog posts marked as reviews.

OTOH, immediately after you've hit the "post" button on a new entry (or a reblog), the next thing you see is the "main" BookLikes dashboard feed. If you hover your cursor over your just-submitted new or reblogged post there, an "edit" button is going to show in the top right-hand corner of your post. Not sure if this only works if you want to correct something (e.g., a typo) immediately after having submitted your post -- it might still work later, too, though that's probably a moot point within days or even hours, what with the amout of stuff floating down our main dashboards ...

Not just on a tablet. Same thing with a laptop or desktop.
How do I post progress updates? I tried posting from the book itself, but...

I just tried it and it worked, even for reviews I posted days ago. As long as you're in the blog mode you can edit anything. It doesn't seem to work if you view your review from from your bookshelf but I may be missing something obvious, as is my wont.
Okay, I officially acknowledge some mental deficiency-even with the instructions I can't figure out how to change a blog post into a review (all reviews were downloaded as posts) nor can I figure out how to delete a book from my shelves. For that matter, there are just so many things I can't seem to figure out that I think my IQ must have dropped 50 points over night.

You can blog it. I'm not sure if there's a specific way to post updates.
I went through and edited all my reviews that came through the GR import and this is what I did at first:

If you go into your blog from your Dashboard (or click on the "Blog" link that is next to Dashboard at the top of the page), all of your reviews will load (it's set for an infinite scroll type of thing - the more you scroll the more reviews load up. Sometimes it takes 15-30 seconds, but from here each review will have an "edit" and "delete" button that appears when your mouse is on a part of the blog entry. Clicking on Edit will take you to editing your review. Once you return though, it reloads the blog, which can be slow if you have a lot of reviews. The way around this is to tell your browser to load the Edit page in another tab.

What I then discovered was somewhat quicker was to load this blog page up to use as a guide, but open another tab with the blog page and use the Search bar on the right side of the page and search for either the title of the blog entry, or the first sentence/few words in the blog entry I want to edit. Do NOT use multiple sentences in the search bar - the search fails. But several words, or the first sentence works a treat. In the search results that appear, you'll see the Edit and Delete buttons appear on mouse over of the blog entry. If multiple books appear, you can edit or delete each one from this page. Edit, save and you'll be returned to the same page you can search from.

That's it - there may be an easier way, but I didn't find it. FWIW, I'm on Mac/Safari but I"m guessing the functionality is meant to work on all platforms. YMMV
Thank you - I'll give your suggestions a try in the morning - after my brain has had a good nights sleep.
I tried it and it worked but boy adding all the titles to each is so time consuming. Nevertheless, another thing I learned and a one time effort so very worth it. Thanks for your help!!!

I think I've seen people review a book and just post Updates on it regularly until it's finished and then post the review at the top, the first thing you read, of all the updates."

And a lot of those will insert a page break (icon at left of "html") that creates the green "Read more" button below their latest post or review so that the older stuff other members may have already read are hidden unless that button is pressed.

BL said in the comments on yesterday's new features introduction that they'll make it possible for us to edit our reviews straight off "table view." (I'm guessing through the popup window which they've now also set so we can access the "write [a new] review" feature directly by clicking on a book cover -- at least that's the way it would make sense to me.) So this is hopefully going to get a lot easier in the future.

I found this to be a pain too, but I discovered if I took the first sentence of the review and searched for it on my blog page (in another tab), it somehow felt easier than all that scrolling... plus it was not as easy to miss-click and have to re-start the infinite scroll all over again.
