Yeah the two of us that showed up to bookclub enjoyed it, but the people on the forum were not as impressed. I was surprised! One found it too predictable and the other not predictable enough. Crazy how people can read books so differently (crazy awesome).
Mary Calmes and her Christmas story 'Where You Lead' covered this very nicely for me.

Ian Rankin: Saints of the Shadow Bible

Set in Edinburgh, Scotland, like virtually all of Rankin's Inspector Rebus series. The city's (even in summer) fairly inclement weather features prominently in setting the scene in Rankin's books; this one is no different. Though no specific month is giving during which the action takes place, repeated references to rain, sleet, wind and freezing temperatures, as well as a car accident at one point suggested to have been caused by a car slipping on a patch of ice, suggest that presumably we're in winter (or at best, late fall or very early spring). Stand-out fashion detail: Ugg boots!
