This is a story filled with deception and lies. A rich and lonely man places an advertisement for a wife. Catherine Land answers and he accepts. They begin a life together that is not what either expected. There are a few surprise twists in the plot.

Finished quickly. The ending is chock-full of details, making more sense of the story line at the beginning. His coming to terms with life at the end, is worth reading the book for.
