Рисовка качественная, хотя явно видна мужская рука - линии слегка более угловаты и их в целом больше, чем хотелось бы, фигуры порой выглядят несколько необычно.. Сюжетная линия - вполне типична: детективы-раследования.

Однако, ну никак я не ожидала присутствия романтической линии меж двумя девушками-копами. Ну, никак.. Читать дальше не хочу.

Рисовка очень хорошая. Хорошее расположение текстов, удобно и приятно читать. В целом - издание на 5, но вот рисовщик упустил возможность доработать целый мир будущего, можно было бы придумать что-то оригинальнее системы "умный дом".

История хороша, но противна и непривлекательна, а персонажи у меня ничего кроме переплетения жалости и пренебрежения не вызывают.
Дальше читать не буду, ибо шлак.

Шик, шик, шик!
Один малюсенький минус - too much body fluids. Но ради такого захватывающего сюжета и гениально продуманного мира я готова и закрыть глаза на это. Повезло, что попалось издание с комментариями содателей и эскизами, очень порадовал тот факт, что идею для монстров взяли из реальной жизни (паразитология). Потрясающая работа!

История страшная, знаю, и, возможно, я просто обратилась не к тому жанру, ибо сюжет описан человеком, кто знал его.. Но, тем не менее, все эти доводы-извинения-угрызения совести - не пошло оно у меня. Ну, и рисовка - не люблю я такую..

Обложка комикса так и кричала: мой автор насмотрелся японской рекламы и вообще без ума от покемонов! Но кто бы слушал свой внутренний голос..
Да - нарисовано все отменно, и фантазия у автора явно не знает предела, но, боже, что за ересь происходит с сюжетной линией? Избей труса? Нет, не могу, не хочу - и сюжет слишком уж похож на серию покемонов.. Никаких положительных эмоций.

Это было здорово.

Многие моменты меня смутили, но в этом и суть данного комикса, более свободно смотреть на некоторые вещи.
Хорошая прорисовка, пара лишних линий не в счет. Комикс включает любопытную переписку читателей и автора, что тоже жирненький плюс. Однако, на протяжении всего тома действия в настоящем крайне мало, здесь описывается больше как главные герои встретились, познакомились.. Жду продолжения!)

Although it was very hard to narrow it down since we read so many wonderful books this year, these are the ten we truly adored (in no particular order)...

I'll probably do my 2013 Book Superlatives sometime this weekend on my blog. It'll cover all the books I've read this year, though if I read any books that I think qualify between now and December 31st, I'll just add them as honorary mentions in an addendum to the post. I like doing these more towards the actual end of the year than months before because of read and release dates.

"Boys in Our Books" will be posting our year-end summaries 12/28-12/31!  Our last post will be dedicated to FAVORITE BOOKS of 2013!

A terrific read!!

Without a doubt, i've just finished reading my favorite 2013 book!!

A terrorizing dystopia! it made me feel like i was right in the middle of the action!

I first "heard" of Angelfall,(the first book in series) probably right after i joined Goodreads, right at the beginning of 2012.

Back then i was still pretty much limited by the format in which the book was distributed. Meaning, if the book wasn't available in paperback i was pretty much ....you know.. o_O

All of this rambling is meant to say that i couldn't wait to get my hands on Angelfall. When BD finally had it for sale, i had to immediately bought it and devour it in one sitting!
That was back in the ~ancient year of ~2012. July, 2o12.

Now, more than a year after, "Wold After" was finally released..YAY!! Or as Scooby says: Scooby Dooby Doo!! ;)
~cough~

Okay, since i like to have the stories facts all perfectly clear in my head, i went and re-read Angelfall. Which was just as amazing as the first time i read it!!
Yes, i'm glad to report that there wasn't any sense of dullness involved in the re-read.
Always a factor to take in to account ;)

And then i started reading World After.

You know how after finishing some stories you can't concentrate on nothing else, because the "book's movie" is still playing in your mind?
Yeah?
Well, that is what is happening to me!!
It broke my heart, it scared me to death! But it also made me smile...
How can i let go of such a story?
It was absolutely terrifying perfect!!

The pace
It never drags. The story line flows as a stormy river.

The plot
Perfectly outlined, with solid foundations. What more can i ask?

The characters

I love them all! Not only the main characters, like Penryn or Raffe. But also the woman Penryn saved from the Scorpions/locusts fetus. The moment with her family...it was heartbreaking to read.
Tweedle Dee/Dum, our famous spy masters give the story a dash of hilarity in a world that definitely needs it.
Paige..oh my God...she broke my heart...
I wanted her to be safe and happy. I wanted her to go back to the way she was. Is that even possible?

The romance
Oh brother...
I love both Penryn and Raffe. And the way the longing for each other is portrayed is just...perfect.
But you know what?
I don't want Raffe to be a fallen angel...
So yes, i CAN'T WAIT to read the next book in the series!!
