My Champion, Glynnis Camplell
My Champion - Glynnis Campbell

I enjoyed this historical romance. I won this from the Jewels of Historic Romance and I voluntarily chose to review it. Parts moved really fast but a few parts tended to be a little slow. There was a bit of action, a little romance and a nice ending. I've given this a 4* rating but this is not for the under 18 readers.

MacFarland's Lass, Glynnis Campbell
MacFarland's Lass (Scottish Lasses) (Volume 1) - Glynnis Campbell

I enjoyed this historic Scottish Romance. I voluntarily chose to review this and I've given it a 4.5* rating. This is also book 2 in the Exclusive Jewels Vol 1. Because of violence and sexual content, this is not for the under 18 readers. Both the hero and the heroine hid some of what they were till the end. This had a lot of action and home remedies mixed in it along with the issues of what class they belonged to. A lot of history woven around this story.

Anybody up for a little game of golf that ruins a good walk? Sick of football and hockey romance but love sports?

Here are Romances Novels Featuring Golf! My lists are never in any particular order. Enjoy!

1. Lady Be Good by Susan Elizabeth Phillips So funny!

Lady Emma Wells-Finch is determined to cause a scandal. Nothing big, you understand, just enough to convince her pompous British suitor that she's not an eligible candidate for marriage. She's thinking along the lines of, oh, maybe a discreet tattoo. But when suspended Texas golf pro Kenny Traveler meets her plane at Dallas-Ft. Worth Airport, Emma decides that he's the perfect candidate to destroy her reputation.

Kenny, on the other hand--who desperately wants to be reinstated on the golf tour--is just as determined to keep a low profile and remain squeaky-clean. If Lady Emma weren't a close personal friend of the golf commissioner's wife, he'd never have agreed to squire her around town. Unfortunately for Kenny, his weakness for the British beauty is growing daily, and it seems as though Emma may have feelings for him as well. In a bizarre turn of events, wild man Kenny finds himself trying to keep the prim and proper British lady from causing a scandal the size of which even the lone-star state has never seen, and the results will leave you laughing with delight.

2. Must Love Scotland by Grace Burrowes

Love on the Links

American attorney Julie Leonard has come to Scotland on a working vacation, determined to improve her golf game and earn a leg up in the judgeship sweepstakes. Former competitive golfer Niall Cromarty pulled the short straw for the job of being Julie's golf coach, though he has no patience for people plagued by blind ambition. As if that weren't trouble enough, Niall's neighbor-turned-nemesis, Declan MacPherson, has finally found an old Last Will and Testament that could wreck Niall's plans to expand his golf course.

Julie thought she wanted to wear that black judicial robe, but when Niall and Declan ask her to resolve their land dispute, she realizes she'd really rather wear Niall's ring. Will she steal Niall's dream, or will he fulfill hers?

My Heartthrob's in the Highlands

Florist Megan Leonard travels to Scotland to design the flowers for her sister's wedding, through its crunch time for Megan's business back home, and the loan that will allow her to expand her business has finally been approved. Best man Declan MacPherson is a Scottish farmer who strikes Megan as married to the land his family has been worked for generations, though he can be tempted to frolic with Megan in the greenhouse.

As Megan and Declan fall for each other, they realized one of them will have to give up everything they've worked for if they're to be together. Can true love put down roots in Scotland, or will it wither in the face of practical realities?

3. The Night Side by Melanie Jackson

The recent rout at Solway Moss battle left Balfour clan without a leader as the laird and his sons were all killed. The new laird is twelve years old George, who resides with his cousin, Lady Frances Balfour, who vows to protect him with the intensity of a lioness with her cubs.

Frances keeps hearing the howling of the ghostly canine Bokey. The residents insist the hound appears and howls whenever a Balfour is about to die. Frances fears that someone could be George as several people want to usurp the chieftain position from the lad whose only protection is the daughter of the dead laird. Frances fears she will be forced to wed. Hope arrives when King Henry VIII sends espionage agent Colin Mortlock to learn what is going on with the Balfour Clan at Noltland Castle; between a ghost and spirited female he learns more than he expected about life and love.

4. Suddenly Sexy by Linda Francis Lee

Kate Bloom’s ordered world is turned upside down when notorious bad boy and superstar athlete Jesse Chapman comes home. Seeing him again reminds Kate of all the reasons she harbored a Texas-sized crush on him back when they were kids. But she isn’t a little girl anymore . . . and she’s ready to show this hell-raising playboy just how much she’s grown up.

After a reporter starts digging into his past, Jesse Chapman returns home looking for space. The last thing he needs is a distraction, but that’s just what he gets when he sees his little Katie. Suddenly the girl next door is hot and sexy—and more than even this legendary ladies’ man can handle.

5. Sugar's Twice as Sweet by Marina Adair

He's trouble she doesn't need . . .

Thanks to a cheating fiancé, Josephina Harrington's perfect life just crashed and burned. Moving in with her overbearing parents is definitely not an option. No, she needs to prove she can make it on her own. And she will-by turning her great-aunt's old plantation house into a destination getaway. She's just not expecting her contractor to be so hands-on-and so totally irresistible.

. . . but everything she wants

Bad-boy golf champion Brett McGraw figured his hometown of Sugar, Georgia was the perfect place to lay low and get his life back up to par. The leggy blonde with a pint-sized pup is the kind of sweet 'n sassy trouble he never saw coming. She doesn't know a nut from a bolt and before long, he's renovating her house . . . as she steals his heart. Can he convince Josephina that his womanizing ways are in the past and he's ready for forever?

6. MacAdam's Lass by Glynnis Campbell

Josselin Ancrum, a sword-wielding Scottish war-orphan-turned-spy for Queen Mary, has her eye on Drew MacAdam. She suspects the golfing "Highlander" isn't quite who he claims to be. While she serves up secret messages in the guise of a tavern wench, he seems to be courting the enemy English when he isn't beating the Scots at their own game. Drawn together by fate, Drew and Jossy are swept up in their growing desires and the designs of their warring queens, until they uncover the terrible secret that binds their star-crossed souls.

7. Senior Tour by Clive Scarff

Jimmy Garnett is a truck driver with a talent for golf. Jenny is a waitress at Jimmy’s favourite truck stop. When Jimmy shares his dream to qualify for golf’s senior tour, Jenny sees another side to this trucker and the two strike up an evolving relationship as Jimmy gears up for the journey of a lifetime.

8. Mulligan Girl by Rebecca L. Boschee

Ren Edwards has made a successful career out of playing the well-to-do customer, spending company cash and demanding flawless service from high-end retailers. But underneath all those fabulous perks, she's just a single Scottsdale girl who can't live without classic books, a fast car, and her best friend, Mo. Ren's life seems just about perfect until she meets Adan, an impossibly sexy Golf Pro Shop manager during one of her staged customer disputes. They fall helplessly for one another, with just one tiny hitch: Adan thinks she's happily married. Finding herself in a hilarious ruse far outside her comfort zone, Ren tries to untangle herself from her little white lie or risks losing the biggest perk of her life.

9. CaddyGirls by V.K. Sykes

Torrey Green once had a promising golf career, now she's stuck caddying for butt-pinching businessmen. She doesn't mind playing dumb while hauling clubs if it means she can get her golf career back on track, and she's going to need an influx of cash to focus on the pro circuit. A booking from video game mogul Julian Grant could be Torrey's cash-flow solution.

In town for a business deal, Julian's partners plan for a little action on the greens. They're looking for some fun with their rent-a-caddy girls and have a lot riding on who can score, on the course and off. This type of gamble isn't Julian's style, but he'll do whatever it takes to keep his partners happy--even if that includes breaking a few hearts along the way.

Julian soon discovers that Torrey is more than just a caddy girl, and they spark an intriguing attraction--but if Torrey discovers the truth behind his foolish wager, all bets are off...

10. A Demon and Her Scot by Eve Langlais

An unlikely duo, the golfing match from Hell, and a devil determined to win, even if he has to cheat. Lucifer’s up to his matchmaking mischief again in this fast-paced, humorous jaunt into the bowels of the pit. Think you can handle the heat?

“Fetch me a Scot,” Lucifer commands. Sounds simple, except the skirt-wearing jerk won’t cooperate. But Aella isn’t one to give up. Willing or not, she delivers her target to the Lord of Sin. In retaliation, the much-too-sexy Scot has Aella assigned as his bodyguard for the golfing match from Hell.

One shot ruined Niall’s life. A second shot could help him regain it. Niall sold his soul once to win a lady’s heart only to end up betrayed. Does he dare take a risk and give love a second chance?

MacAdam's Lass (Scottish Lasses Book 2)
MacAdam's Lass (Scottish Lasses Book 2) - Glynnis Campbell He has three uncles who've trained him to overcome his father's weaknesses. She has three father's who've trained her to avenge her mother's death. He's run off to play golf in Scotland. She's run off to spy for the Queen in Edinburgh. The three uncles and three fathers are going to bring them back home and set things right. Not one of the six old men has considered the considerable trouble the two young lovers have gotten themselves into. Nor have they considered love!

This was the best of the books in this series.
