Nyx's Pixie (A Dragon's Treasure #2) by K.M. Mahoney 4 Star Review
Nyx's Pixie - K.M. Mahoney

In a world of beauty and magic, the Draak are an elite force, sworn to protect king and country. But with no wars and a king powerful enough that none want to challenge him, the life of an immortal warrior can be more dull than deadly. Until one lonely dragon finds a human mate. Suddenly, the king’s warriors are falling in love one after another. Seamus, king of the Fae, would be happy for his men, if it weren’t for that niggling worry in the back of his mind. It is said that a mated dragon gains abilities to protect his mate, and a dragon with a Treasure—a mate that is a dragon’s perfect match in every way—is strongest of all.

Everything happens for a reason. If the Draak are growing more powerful, then something is coming. Whatever it is, Seamus fears it could very well destroy the harmony he has worked so hard to bring to Faerie.

Review

I really like the world KM Mahoney has created in this book.

Pol is a delightful hero because he is underestimated all the time. His secret powers are amazing and he is a pixie which grand.

Nyx is a grumpy dragon shifter but he always treat Pol as an equal.

The plot outside the love story is less intersting but I like this couple.

Cody's Dragon (A Dragon's Treasure) by K.M. Mahoney Review
Cody's Dragon - K.M. Mahoney

How far is Cody willing to go to keep his dragon? Kirit is lonely and he’s sick of coming home from the king’s assignments to a cold, empty cave. After searching for years for a mate, Kirit decides it’s time to try a new approach. Against the advice of all his friends, he heads for the human side of the world. There he finds Cody, and the man is everything he could ever want. It takes a little bit of persuasion, but he manages to talk Cody into coming back with him to Faerie.

Within a week of arriving, Cody is beginning to rethink his impulsive decision. He’s trekked across more terrain than he would care to remember, been summoned to meet a king, and flown on a dragon—not an experience he’s willing to repeat anytime soon. Kirit’s growly possessiveness is starting to wear on his nerves, and the unexpected hostility he encounters at the palace is almost enough to make him give up. But Cody is stubborn. He may not be willing to admit it out loud, but Kirit has got under his skin. He may even, shockingly enough, love the big guy. Now Cody has to decide what he’s willing to do to keep the man of his dreams.

Review

Kirit and Cody are a great couple and this first book in the series is a fun instruction to the world..

I love heroes who want to fall in love and want a partner. Both of these heroes do.

Cody does well negative the world with elves and dragon shifters and others. and the romance is good.

JFK & RFK - AMERICA'S DYNAMIC DUO
The Kennedy Brothers: The Rise and Fall of Jack and Bobby - Richard D. Mahoney,David Talbot

"THE KENNEDY BROTHERS: The Rise and Fall of Jack and Bobby" offers the reader various views and perspectives on the evolution of the relationship between John F. Kennedy and his younger brother Robert between 1951 and 1963. At the same time, it also provides, in a large sense, a living history of the Kennedy Administration; the challenges, setbacks and triumphs it experienced; and the roles Robert Kennedy played in that history as Attorney General (e.g. his relentless fight against organized crime and his moral support for the cause of civil rights) and enforcer and protector of his brother, the President.

Then we also experience the inner struggles and agonies Robert Kennedy endured after his brother was assassinated in Dallas in November 1963. After years of supporting JFK through his various political campaigns and in the White House, he was faced with having to find his own voice and place. In the process, Robert Kennedy's humaneness and compassion for the poor and disenfranchised - coupled with his fearlessness and the spirit of his character - came to define him in the eyes of millions of Americans as he went on to win election to the U.S. Senate from New York in 1964 and embarked on the path that led him to his last crusade, his run for the Presidency in 1968.

In the words of the author: "... the Kennedys, with all their romance and irony, finally unite in an aesthetic comparable to the Greeks that they read about and quoted: they were daring and they were doomed, and they knew it and accepted it. They would die and make their deaths into creative acts of history. They would be heroes. And they would give their country an imperishable poignancy in its heart."

LOVED THIS BOOK!
Good Luck (Putman County Book 1) - KM Mahoney
Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book.

oh. my.days! I LOVED this book!!

I've read one other book by Mahoney, Learning To Love Cats, and I loved that too. I just didn't realise it was the same author until after I had read it. I LOVE this author's sense of humour!

Alli is fairy, Fayte no less. Which means, while he is residing on Earth, his magic explodes in such a way that the whole day is full of bad luck. Broken pots, falls down stairs, almost run over by a speeding truck! Anything and everything happens to Alli, every single friday. One such day, Michael arrives in town, and saves Alli from said truck. Michael is a bear shifter, getting out of the city, away from it all, to a place where he, and Bruce (loved that!) his bear can run free. Alli's bad luck turns nasty, and Michael and Alli are pulled together, in an effort to see who really is behind the destruction of his beloved flower shop, and who doesn't want them to be together.

I cannot express just how much I loved this book. Seriously, it was just the thing i needed after a much darker, heavier book, and this book hit that spot so darn hard!

It's funny, laugh out loud in some places. It's also painful, when Alli recall why he had to leave his home and be on Earth. It's heartwarming, when Michael's brothers are together. It's (in my humble opinion) laying down future books, and we'll see whether I'm right on that one.

Both Michael, and Alli have a say. Oh, I should say, they ALL have a say, because we get just a snippet of Bruce, Michael's bear, just a tiny paragraph but I loved that we did. Since Michael gave him a name, he needed that little say. Says what he needed to, in the most perfect way, too.

Because for Michael and Alli, there is none of that MINE MINE MINE moment you usually get with shifters and I LOVED that. Their attraction is powerful, but their love grows, beautifully. Only Bruce has that MINE saying and I loved that.

I can't keep saying I LOVED it, but I did. so...

5 stars
