Dragged out final volume to this time-travel sci-fi comic series
Fear Agent Volume 3: The Last Goodbye (2... Fear Agent Volume 3: The Last Goodbye (2nd Edition) - Rick Remender,Lee Loughridge,Tony Moore,Ande Parks

This volume brings together all the themes of the previous volumes and leads unsurprisingly to Heath’s end. It’s still quite well-illustrated, colourful and detailed and the plot is quite complicated. I found the second arc drawn out and annoying, probably also because I dislike time-travel stories .in which protagonists can travel into the past to change events. I’ve never been overwhelmed by this series and that is still the case at its conclusion.

Deadly Class, Vol. 1: Reagan Youth by Wesley Craig, Rick Remender & Lee Loughridge
Deadly Class Volume 1: Reagan Youth TP - Wesley Craig,Rick Remender,Lee Loughridge

I liked the concept of an assassin's school and the style of the art, but on almost every other level 'Reagan Youth' failed to catch my interest.

Our protagonist is a bit of a blank, sad backstory, etc., but we're given no reason to really root for him - side characters are given more dimension. The two women existed to be exotic, brandish exotic weapons, and be desired. Urgh.

Add weird high school dramatics and a drug-fueled trip to Vegas and you have a comic book that fails to make the most of its premise. I don't know where this series is going and I don't aim to find out.

Science-fiction comic collection – colourful and quite good
Fear Agent Library, Volume 1 - Jerome Opeña,Kieron Dwyer,Rick Remender,Tony Moore,Francesco Francavilla

This colourful and action-packed comic collection involves Heath fighting various aliens on various planets, some time travel, betrayal, sex and more fighting! It's fairly straight-forward stuff with some characterisation but nothing particularly novel.

Quite enjoyable but I'm not too enthusiastic. There is a second volume which may prove to be more inspiring – we'll see.

Involved crime comic series - quite good
The last days of American crime #1 - Ric... The last days of American crime #1 - Rick Remender,Greg Tocchini

This is a review of the whole series.

The premise behind this comic collection is that the US government will activate a device which prevents its citizens committing crimes. In the weeks leading up to this, criminals of various persuasions are getting their last acts in. Our main character has his own plan but needs to involve other dubious characters. Double-crossing (and double-double crossing), murder and mayhem ensue.

The artwork is colourful but not always clear. If you’re offended by bloodshed, torture, sexual acts etc.., this is NOT for you. Good crime series - recommended

Another Punisher freebie
Punisher: Dark Reign - Jerome Opeña,Rick Remender

I think they gave these away when they were starting to promote the new series?   Anyway, I finally got around to this, too, and I like it a lot.   It's a good, solid set up, and I know more, I think, about Dark Reign than Civil War.   Still, I don't see why the events have to seep into every single series...

I mean, I do, it's meant to get you to buy more series, and jump on board, but I do that for characters, and I'm not super into some of them, so that wasn't bond to work for me.

Frank is running from a Superman type hero called Hyperion who's working for Osborne, who is evil but everyone thinks is doing good.   He's bleeding out, and barely makes it to his van, only for someone to tell him to run.   Can he make it to relative safety?
