The Widow's Secret - Sara Mitchell Jocelyn Tremayne felt as she has lost everything even her faith in God after her husband’s death and the treatment of his family toward her, but when she’s suspected of a crime that leads to her old life and her husband’s family, she turns to Secret Service Agent Micah MacKenzie as she places her trust in him as he brings light , love and her faith in God back into her life...... I really enjoyed sitting back to enjoy this book as these two people Jocelyn and Micah come to crossroads in their life as they make their way back to find their faith in God. Jocelyn wears this prickly armor around her as a shield against anyone, being treated like a nobody by her husband’s family with her arranged marriage which ended five years later with the suicide of her husband. Now ten years Jocelyn has become harden and bitter by this, losing her faith in God. Now she gets mixed up in a counterfeiters that lead back to her old family, Jocelyn comes full circle when she meets a man from her wedding again after ten years Micah MacKenzie whom not only helps to keep her safe but helps her believe again in herself and God. Jocelyn lot in life was hard, and she came across as one to jump the gun and very bitter and cold, hiding behind that was a very gentle strong and kind woman locked away. Jocelyn road back to her faith was laid with her past hurts she had yet to overcome as she blamed herself for things she couldn’t help with and how she needed to forgive herself and love again. Micah first met Jocelyn at her wedding as a clumsy college boy, not as a agent for the secret service Micah has grown into a man whom believes in God with all his might, but hides behind his faith instead of letting the wound heal at the lost of his young wife and child. Micah sees in Jocelyn her true self and will do anything to protect her, through his love he comes to understand God’s workings and finally let’s go of the past to be able to move on. But mostly forgive himself. The suspense of the counterfeiters as Jocelyn and Micah work to undercover the truth took the other half of the book, which kept the reader reading as the bubbling romance between Micah and Jocelyn develops throughout the book. The only bump in an overall enjoyable book was the fade to black scenes that kept you hanging.Overall: a beautiful book that I enjoyed greatly with a beautiful message in it’s pages
