Tempting the New Boss - Angela Claire

This is book #3 in the Sleeping With The Enemy series.  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  To avoid spoilers, and have a better understanding of the series, I recommend reading this series in order.

Camilla needs this job as the CEO's assistant.  He has many quirks, but she figures she can handle the job.  She is completely blindsided by the sudden attraction.

Mason wants Camilla and is not afraid to show it.  She is an excellent assistant and impresses him on several levels.  Wanting her just makes things more complicated.

Such a fun book and a great addition to the series.  Sexy, fun, and full of humor, this story moves at a good pace.  I enjoyed how witty and clever the story is as it unfolds with some serious heat punching you as you read.  I give this story a 3/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Tempting the New Boss by Angela Claire

When Camilla Anderson loses her job just as a position at Talbot Inc. opens up, there’s no way she’s questioning the lucky break. Working for the quirky, reclusive CEO will pay off her student loans within a year, and they’re flying to Europe in his private jet.

Mason Talbot isn’t good at talking to women. Well, to anyone, really. But when his new lawyer boards his plane, biology kicks in. But he can’t tell if her adverse reaction is to him or his painfully awkward attempts at flirting.

As the flight gets bumpier, Mr. High IQ gets calmer. And…he holds her hand? Maybe the guy is redeemable after all. As soon as they land, she’ll have to teach her endearingly awkward new boss how to seduce a girl properly.

That is, if they don’t die in a fiery plane crash first.

About Angela Claire

Angela Claire, like most writers, grew up loving to read, which led to a degree in English literature, which in turn led to unemployment. Not having been born to wealth, Angela developed a more practical plan for eating and paying her rent—hence the dreaded and expected descent into law school and inevitable career as a lawyer. Once she paid off her pesky yet massive student loans, Angela saved for an escape from the law profession one day. Now a multi-published author, she does what she loves, but with a little less leeway on the eating and paying rent thing. She is represented by Kerry D’Agostino at Curtis Brown, LTD.

Tempting the New Boss (Sleeping with the Enemy)
Tempting the New Boss (Sleeping with the Enemy) - Angela Claire It's not everyday that you encounter a character like Mason. Mason has a head for business, a body for sin and an aloof attitude that he hides behind to conceal his insecurities. Camilla sees the man behind the genius. As she gets to know him all she wants to do is help to build his confidence. I liked Tempting the New Boss. Mason was an Alpha in training that found himself when he met Camilla. He needed her guidance to help him develop the courage to speak up and never doubt the choices he had to make. She needed him to show her that she was more than a face in the crowd. Angela Claire took a different path with this read but that's what I feel made it all the more romantic. Received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Sleeping with the Enemy
Sleeping with the Enemy - Tracy Solheim Sleeping with the Enemy (Out of Bounds #4)by Tracy Solheim

Dot-com millionaire Jay McManus is discovering that owning a pro football team like the Baltimore Blaze isn’t easy. An anonymous blogger is out to destroy his reputation, and now his team is being sued by its own cheerleaders. If Jay’s not careful, he could lose big—and not just financially.
Bridgett Janik’s brother may play for the Baltimore Blaze, but she’s not thrilled to be defending Jay McManus, the man who broke her heart. It’s bad enough she has to mingle with Jay during games, but working beside her former lover may be too much for her body—and her heart—to resist.
Jay’s determined not to let Bridgett slip away from him a second time. But, as the two follow the mysterious blogger’s trail, secrets—both past and present—are revealed, and Jay and Bridgett must decide if their relationship can be something more than just sleeping with the enemy.

My Review:
Sleeping With the Enemy wasn't one of my favorite novels as far as the romance goes however there's an exploration into relationships that I did like because it was more than just our h/h that got the spotlight. Secondaries also got quite a bit of reader time. Solheim did a fantastic job debating the emotion vs action and intent dynamic in peoples relationships, friendships, and also how everyone struggles to find their way through the maze of feeling and doing and how our actions or inactions can affect others around us. I enjoyed Sleeping With the Enemy for the type of life lessons she brought up. In the end it was a great book I really enjoyed.

My Rating:
4 Stars
