Eh. This was ok. It was free, so I won't complain. I didn't think it was as bad as some of the harsher snarkier reviews. It wasn't great, though.
I'm not Deaf and I don't know anyone who's Deaf (I guess it's supposed to be capitalized - I don't know?), so I can't comment on how that was handled.
I thought Emily's secret was nothing when it was revealed; not when compared to all of the drama about her having a secret.
I did not understand Logan's sleeping with anyone who propositioned him ways. He just does it. Just because. And he just stops when he meets Emily.
Emily's father was contradictory in behavior. The description of her mother appears to indicate contradictory behavior, too.
I'm not sure why Emily and Logan like each other. Their initial meeting was pretty interesting. Otherwise, it seemed to be based on Logan's mystical understanding of the art Emily was wanting to have tattooed on herself. And she liked that he took it and modified it to "give her an escape". Just weird.
This was just okay for me. I doubt very much that I'll read any of the other books in the series.
