Winner!!
So this book was fun! It kicked off with action and more action. This was perfectly escapist for all the shit going down right now in the US.
In other time I might have been annoyed with Kitty. While she has some flaws and was honest, she also was a little too perfect (being able to able a gun without practice, hang upside down, and other feats of strength) and knew exactly what to do most of the time. But honestly, I really, really didn't care. Go Kitty! I enjoyed all the secondary characters and loved the humor. There was a little bit of a love triangle (but didn't last long). Kitty fell a little too fast for Jeff (days), but what the hey? I really didn't care. Kitty's family (both human and animal) was hilarious.

This was an improvement from the last book.  Finally the pack fully accepts Mercy as one of their own.  That constant pettiness and disrespect toward her was really, really aggravating.  Let's hope it continues since that respect has been hard won.  This opens with a troll invading their territory and a proclamation that Mercy makes.  Zee and Tad are back.  We are introduced to Aiden, a boy who has lived in Underhill for a very time that has ability over fire.  There are new developments that happen with the fae.

In my last review I mentioned how I’m not much of a romantic and I tend to get bored with romance-driven plots. And then this book rocked up and was all, “I’m gonna make you a liar, bitch.” And then it did. And I’m okay with that.

You guys. I loved this soooooo much! It’s everything I love about mythology and fairy tales rolled into one nearly perfect package. I know I’m being vague, but if I try to get specific I will be here for hours gushing for paragraph after paragraph and spoiling the hell out of the whole plot. So instead I’m just going to nip the gushing in the bud and get to bed on time.

But seriously, this was soooooo good!

She was held captive for five months and infected with dark magic, Danita Warren was rescued by a super-hot, amazingly kind, protective dragon shifter but she doesn’t want to drag him down the same dark path. Griffin knew the moment he met Danita that she was his mate and pledges to devote his life to helping her, but he is confused as to how to help her.

Strong, compelling characters demand that readers read their story as Griffin tries to help Danita recover from her ordeal. The romance between the hero and heroine is sweet, passionate and full of emotional turmoil that grips readers by the heart and refuses to let go. Danita has to fight to overcome the evil that has infected her while trying to find her missing cousin and with Griffin’s help uncovers other missing shifters which has keeps readers on the edge of their seat with lots of suspense throughout the story. The plot is fast paced with lots of excitement, thrills and romance to be found with every turn of the page and readers can’t help but become completely absorbed in this emotional, suspenseful, and heartwarming read.

I started this series quite a while ago and tossed it aside because I just couldn't get into it. This time I listened to it in audiobook format and loved it so much I listened to them in sequence. I enjoyed every moment of it.
