quote 2015-07-24 12:11
“To me a good book is like a quiet friend—a friend who’s happy to share thoughts and feelings with you, who’s always there when you need them. Best of all, this friend doesn’t have any secrets. They trust you to understand them. They take you to their innermost places. They share their sensations and emotions—and they let you experience them. Wherever you go and however you feel, they are always by your side. For an hour, a day, a week, or forever, their life becomes yours. Their story is your story. That’s the kind of book I’m trying to write.”

“I think what I miss most is knowing I was loved. No matter what I did, who I was, I knew there was someone on earth who loved me unconditionally.”

You are Jane Eyre

To understand you is to love you. As a deep thinking, passionate yet quiet soul you may be more comfortable expressing your ideas, and ideals, through the written word rather than verbally. Lost in dreams, you may appear distant and undemonstrative to some, but when people get to know you, they discover a warm and kind friend.

Jane describes herself as "poor, obscure, plain and little" and you may be your own harshest critic. Despite your quiet nature, and discomfort with conflict, you will find your voice, and stand up for causes you feel passionate about.
Jane Eyre - Charlotte Brontë

My result from the Scottish Book Trust character quiz. I agree with it on many levels! Ran it by my husband, and he says he sees a lot of me (except that I'm an introvert who appears to be a boisterous extrovert) in the character he affectionately calls "Jane Eyre-Head".
